Not sure if you guys agree with me but posts suggesting other platforms aren’t really helping. Helping to achieve what exactly? Deezer made clear, a couple of times, that they don't intend to switch the logo or design. Personally I am quite happy to know why people change to other platforms. And I'm also surprised that a certain platform gives me better recommendations. Well, they could learn a lot from the feedback we give, if they care.Agree with the point of integration. I thought about buying an extra streamer for my sound system only for Deezer as it is not supported, but cancelled my subscription anyway now. Their recent changes do not seem to fit for the target group, us, you've mentioned. They could have just stuck with the old design and care about functionalities that have been requested for months and years.
After the new update I have left it to marinate to see if I could try and get used to it. However, this new update is a calamity. I cannot get used to it. The fonts, the logo, the functionality its all atrocious. I have decided to pack my deezer bags and move onto something else. Same for me. Looking at the comments in Play Store, it's obvious that Deezer won't change their new logo at least. So they will stick with their new brand identity (at least based on their comments).Well, I have decided to move on as well. However this move reminded me on how dependent I am on these streaming services, especially as a music lover. You can't be sure that provider X won't change anything, might it be UI, quality or whatever. So while moving on, I decided to buy more music I like in future to be more independent :-).
Has there been any statement than this from them in the meantime? I mean, it doesn't have to be like "we did something terribly wrong", but maybe "we appreciate your feedback, we will reconsider the logo choice" or whatever? Anything to show that they care?
I have a Tidal subscription for some time already as I use it directly on my Teufel boxes (liked to use Deezer for work because of the Flow). I don't like Tidals MQA but it seems they are replacing it by HiRes Flac now. Might also give Qobuz a try.
I just can’t understand the “hate” towards the new design. You really can feel the “hate” between the lines sometimes. I really like the new purple colour and yes, even the new look & feel of Deezer. People are switching to others, only because of the new icon or colour. Their choice, I respect that,. But give yourself some time go get used to it. And what if the other also start changing things? Even the big green gigant did change a lot of things in the past. I know, some of you are thinking “Don’t fix it if it ain’t broken” or “Why change it after so many years?”. But sometimes you have to change, try something new, even if not everyone likes the change. This could go the right or the wrong way. You can never please everyone I’m afraid. And yes, there are many things Deezer needs to fix in the app (iOS, Android….), so join this community where you can tell what you think about Deezer and tell them where the issues are. Now it looks like a lot of “newbies” that never been here a
It feels like Deezer didn't do much research about their user base. I chose Deezer over Spotify back then because of the Hifi streaming and the clean UI, it felt professional. The new design, especially the logo is a complete disaster. I felt embarrassed when Co Workers asked me about it when they saw it in the tray. Design is childish.. also some banners and content let me think I'm using some woke dating app for teens. Will give it a few weeks until I move to Tidal. Just want to have a professional music app.
