And to prove my points from my previous posts - just using the lyric feature on Satellite (Original Mix) Above and Beyond - and there is a whole verse missing at after the first verse. THis stuff is so annoying to fans, and is really shoddy and careless work if you are having an actual lyrics website supply them to you. I assume they’re being compensated? Well, they aren’t worth it. I would be happy to make you an offer with a contract stating a requirement for accuracy percentage (based on word count) for a fair flat fee per track (with discounted rate for reversioning songs for different arrangements or remixes). I have over a decade of experience providing captioning, subtitles, transcripts and karaoke lyrics to major clients in TV, film and broadcasting in general. Contact me on my email address if you’d like to know more. (I assume you can grab that from my membership...) Cheers, Matt W.
Oh, while I’m here, here are the lyrics for ‘How Will I Know?’ The Thrillseekers, NB. Some remixes might required different ordering for the verses and choruses, but this should be correct for the original and the most part. Usually this wouldn’t really be an issue, but if you’re going to have the lyric sync feature going, you need specific lyrics for every separate version and remix. How Will I KnowThe ThrillseekersWatch the night fade awayStill hurting from the words spokenOur paths let astrayLife we shared left shattered and brokenHow will I find my way out of the darkWhen will I let goHow will I knowFeel the walls closing inMy restless heart left torn and lonelyI see dark skies withinWishing you were here to hold meHow will I know (when I've found my way out)My way out of the dark (and the lingering silence)When will I let go (of my shadows and doubts)How will I knowA future unknownWhat will become when you're not hereNow stand here aloneTrying to leave you behindTrying to let goHo
Hello - this is a fantastic feature, but I fear it might never actually fulfil its potential if you leave it to lyrics websites to get everything onto the site. I propose you open up lyric submission to fans (the ones who really love the music will be the most keen to put them up and also know the lyrics betters than most people). Obviously, this will require that the lyrics get reviewed to take care of the odd clown who puts something ridiculous or offensive up - but perhaps you could have lyric contributors verify their ID with you before being able to upload to nip this in the bud. I would also add functionality so that the contributor (or Deezer themselves) can simply send out messages to the official websites, or social media presences of the artists on the site, and give them the opportunity to get their lyrics up on the site and confirm that there are no errors o9n what has been uploaded by fans. I miss the days when you would get lyrics in the inserts in CDs (and yes, cassettes
