Search music by Record Label // Record Label name below album or track

Name of label is available after the track list of an album/ep etc.

Linking the label name to a list of album/records/artists of the same label would be very useful.

No results for, as an example, label: "tzadik" or label: "tzadik records" on the macOS desktop application.

For what it’s worth, it seems to be url-encoding my search — my results screen reads “No results for “ label%3A “tzadik””

Hi @tjgavlick

Try without space after :

It could be because of the name of the label too. The tracks you're looking for could have a different label name. We've taken this feedback and passed it to the Search Team :thumbsup_tone2:

I opened Deezer app and tried to search releases of a record label. It didn’t work. It didn’t work with any label name I’ve entered. It has to do with some characters or something.

One time it didn’t work on browser too. Will this ever be fixed?

Hi there @Igor.Arnautovic23

Thanks for reporting this. Yes, at the moment it seems to be working only on web. Can I ask you what version of our app do you have?

Our devs are looking into this already :thumbsup_tone2:

Don’t forget that frefre also asked for linking label names to label catalogues, much like we can click on an artist name to go to their page, we should also be able to click on label name to go inside their catalogue.

That's an ace suggestion @Buckie. Why not have a hyperlink option for labels too? I like it

"%3A" is an ASCII code for the character ":".
So, there must be some encoding bug in the search program.
I have solved this problem by the following process.

(1) First, search by the words "label:"Ocora"".
An error message says No results for ""label%3A"Ocora""
and the search words has changed to "label%3A"Ocora"".

(2) Then again, search by the same words "label:"Ocora"".
This time, I can get a normal result for the Ocora label.

Hi there @Silent Frog

Thanks for sharing with us at this moment, very much appreciated 👍🏼

It works for me, thank you.

I am looking now at DJ Beat Records releases. So easy to find new music.

Subscribed yesterday from closing GPM and their options like this nowhere to be found.

I can find so much more music with Deezer, will never look back for Google Music!

The feature for a simple way to search by label seems to be is widely requested. The suggestion made by Buckie above seems to be the most logical way to do this...

@Deezer team: any reason why this doesn’t get implemented?

Love Deezer anyway but that would make it even better!

Hey @Chmeutz

Sure, it's just that the teams are involved in different things. And when changing the search, we need to add more features, not only that one. It's work in progress and your feedback add more value to this

Hello.

Can someone please help.

I am trying to search new releases by label.

I searched before label:"dj beat records" -- but it takes good time to scroll thousands of releases.

I tried 2020 only, label:"dj beat records" year:2020

Why it won’t show 2020 releases, is my tag wrong?

Any guide or something? Perhaps filters in search?

Hey @hpguru

I believe it's because year isn't a parameter for an advanced search yet :thumbsup_tone2:

yes, label search is a very useful tool.  I myself personally search for music often from labels and follow their new releases.  Now it is convenient to do this either through Instagram, since all labels have their own pages with track previews or on a beatport.  Therefore, the ability to search and follow the music of a certain label would be a mega function for me !!!

- working link to the label by which you can go to the label page
- Possibility to subscribe to the label page
- the ability to follow new releases from a specific label

The thing that imho would really take it to the next level would be the option to add labels to the favorites, either by creating pages for each label like it is already the case for artists, or by adding a “add to favorites” button to search results. (I’d much prefer the first option as it would -logically- enable the possibility of following the latest releases, as has been also requested in these pages).

Since it’s my first message on the boards, let me finish by saying that I love the app even though it’s sometimes less easy to dig out rarities than, say, on Spotify. But it crashes way, way, way less often (especially on mobile). Keep it up les amis !

Friends.. Am a newbie and want help
I understand that in search one can find 300 albums of a label by the format label:”Brand name” but what if we want to search a bit deeper and want deezer to give results of albums of a specific Brand which has words like “Best of” in the album name of one specific Brand
For Example how to search only those albums of a single brand suppose ABCD who released 5 albums which have “Best of Singer1234” Best of Singer2345” and so on OR even have these words in the middle of an album name like “Very Best of Singer6789”
Hope i conveyed. Thanx

Still sad that this still is not resolved. It should be a tag like Artist, Album, so it makes searching and discovering new music easy. That is what this app should be all about. It’s kinda funny to me that after all these years it’s still actually easier to discover new specific music in a record store than it is in apps like Deezer. I’m 100% sure it would get you more subscribers as well if you fix this. If the data is already there, fixing the UI should not be difficult. If the data is missing, the artists or labels will follow up on this immediately if it means they can get more listeners. If they can’t change this themselves, they should be given access to do so.

Yea it’s crazy indeed. I find myself going to beatport many times just to find the music and then listen to it on Deezer.
While it would be so amazing it was all included in Deezer itself.
