Hey @Jaime.Deezer and all Deezer’s crew, just give it up already. Admit you can’t handle the desktop app and stop pretending.

I’ve been with you since 2016. A whole damn decade. I know your strengths - great iOS app, solid recommendations, excellent sound quality - as well as your weaknesses. And the absolute worst by far is the desktop app.

As someone who works on a computer all day, I feel every fucking pain this app causes. And you know what? You clearly don’t give a damn. Just scroll through this forum - there are hundreds of feature requests and bug reports that have been ignored for years.

Minimizing to the system tray instead of properly quitting, unreliable queue, crashing when moving the window between screens, system media buttons disappearing, black screen after minimizing or waking from sleep, and constant playback errors. It drives me absolutely insane every single day.

Guys, I’m utterly sick and tired of all the empty promises about “huge investments” into the desktop app, “reworking it”, “major improvements” and all that bullshit.

The only reason I’m still here is that I forgot to cancel my annual subscription while I was on vacation. After all these years, I’ve completely lost faith that you can or even want to do anything about it.

@fedenrico.enrico and other Rising Stars - if you need a reliable desktop app, don’t waste your time here. I know other services have their issues too, but at least they actually try to fix the most annoying ones.

Does anybody know why this keeps happening? It only happens on my laptop. I've never had the issue on my phone. I've completely signed out, tried signing back in completely uninstaled the app. Nothing is working. This keeps coming up and it's driving me nuts

This is unacceptable, I’m a paying user and I’ve been having same issues for 6 months now on both Windows and Linux, you can go get lost with “Small percentage of users”, everyone I know who uses Deezer is having this issue. Hard to reproduce? Improve your bloody logging or deploy a debug build, these modern companies wrapping their vibe codded web apps into electron wrapper, having no idea how to actually build proper software.

You guys are wrapping your website into a stripped down web browser, get your stuff together.
I would understand if your app was a proper native UI, but it isn't, so you have no excuses for getting the core functionality of your app wrong.

You streaming services already stolen my ability to easily buy music, now you also stealing my ability to listen to it. Do you really have to leave us holding the bag? At least buy me a dinner smth

Nothing against support person reading this forum, or probably underpaid devs, but I have questions to your actual management.

Same issue for me on Windows 11.  Errors every day.
