Our content and offer is very different from other platforms @walker

At the moment we're considering some interesting options but there's more work to be done before we can give you more details

Hi @Rudi

I’ve just signed up for Deezer Hi-Fi now we’ve established that it does in fact work via Airplay (up to CD quality). I am struggling to use it as if my wife or daughter decides to use it, of course one of us is booted off. I don’t want to opt for Family and have the lower music quality as most of the time only one is in use. I don’t really see that your ‘content and offer is ethat] different from other platforms’ - people have been requesting this for years, and it’s just a fundamental pricing plan. Personally I think Hi-Fi should just be the standard now, but that’s another story. No disrespect, but PLEASE can we just get on with it already? The devs have had quite long enough, and the demand is clearly there! :)

What would be even better would be something like Spotify’s couple plan, again with optional Hi-Fi support. Two profiles, three tops, would be fine for most people.

I also think an option to have the main profile as Hi-Fi and however many others at Premium+ quality would be great. But crucially, give us the ability to choose what we want and leave what we don’t. Why does everything have to be in pre-selected packages that can’t be combined or changed? It should all be modular, so you could buy extra standard profiles for, say, 50p a month and Hi-Fi profiles for £2 a month (or whatever) so you build your perfect package. That would be a great way to make Deezer stand out from the crowd.

Cheers

Rob

Hey Rob @Viewtiful Bob

Thank you very much for your honest and interesting feedback.

Rest assured, we agree with you on several points. We even dropped the price of our HiFi subscription this year, to make it more accessible to all.

I'm unable to give you too much info at the moment because this doesn't depend on the devs but artists, labels and even legal teams. BUT the good news is that, as we agree with you, our teams are working on different models, including an add-on possibility. It'll take a bit more time, but I can guarantee we're not sleeping on the subject. Subscribe to this topic so that you're kept a par with our progress :v_tone2:

Hi Max
I have had premium Hi-fi for some months now and absolutely adore it as I'm a bit of an audiophile and have some really good quality sound systems in my car and at home.
My partner loves to share at work but because of the single user premium subscription she keeps getting cut off.
So I decided to upgrade to Family Hi Fi only to find out a week later that Hi-fi is not available with the family subscription 🙂, which I think is ridiculous.
So I have now asked them to cancel my family subscription and I've reluctantly gone back to Hi-fi only.
Note to Deezer bring on Family Hi-fi ASAP please?!

Dominic

Oh and having read the above comments am I now entitled to the reduced Hi Fi subscription cost please ?

Dominic

Hey @Dommo

Thanks for the feedback.

We're working on this idea - it's more complicated than it seems. But we're fully aware is a super popular request we've got here, so it's high on top of our list :v_tone2:

About the reduced cost, please have a chat with our support team here and check if there's something they can do for you

Reduced Deezer hifi price is 25 per cent off.

https://www.deezer.com/fi/offers/?referer=sonos

It can be found on Google within seconds using “Best deezer hifi deals” query.

You only need to pay it for a year, which makes it annual, but worth the savings.

May I ask how you can listen music on iPhone and Android same time? Premium account, just as Hifi account for one, is meant to be used for personal use only without sharing.

is it that hard to have a HIFI family plan? I have been asking this for several years now, the dificult part was to have HIFI but have it now, so why not give us this, Tidal has this, come on, I know you can do it.

Thank you for the comments!

It is a bit hard, yes @Rodrigo Romo but you're worth it. Hang in there while our teams find a solution. Yes, the idea has been open for a while but it wasn't long ago our teams started working towards this :v_tone2:

I have a Hifi account.  I’d like to sign my family up for Deezer but they do not need Hifi, just premium.  Currently, there is no way to do this.  Therefore, I’m going to sign them up for another service.  Seems like an opportunity lost by Deezer.

We get you @Soundchasr, it is indeed an opportunity but it's a project that takes a lot of efforts from different teams and we're currently exploring the possibilities - so please subscribe to the topic and maybe you can give us a chance once we get this part of our service improved :pray_tone2:

Hello! Certain music streaming services (notably Tidal) are now offering HiFi Family plans to their listeners. You may see it as no big deal but let me show you what I mean by giving you my personal example. As it turns out, even if I decide to continue using your Hi-Fi plan (and I probably will as your music discovery features are a real killer!), my Mom, Dad, brother, sister-in-law and nephew won't as it'll cost them all too much and they too love the Hi-Fi option but can't afford it at a regular price each. At a reduced one, though (see: Tidal) - yes. If you follow Tidal's example here (but just this one example as everything else you're offering works WAY better than whatever they have in store :D), you will not only be more competitive but you will also win more people over, just like in case of my entire family.

We certainly want your whole family to join in @W.Z.

Please have a look above and don't forget to vote!

Thank you for your feedback and support :relaxed:

There should be an availability for Deezer HiFi for Family. If it was $19.99-22.99 a month that would be perfect and would make it more competitive against Qobuz which has their FLAC file family plan at $24.99 a month.

Hi @Rudi By my reckoning Deezer are literally the only service not to offer this combination. Seriously, what is taking so long? As soon as it’s available I’ll be back.

Amazon, Qobuz and Tidal all have Family plans for both ‘Premium’ and lossless tiers. I get it has to be implemented to the apps & subscription platforms, but I implore you to suggest one single justifiable reason for this being more complex than it seems. Please. It just makes no sense whatsoever. 😟

Rob

It's very complex to negotiate music rights with the different labels for different models of subscription, Rob @Viewtiful Bob (for example)

But this is something we're interested in so all I can ask is for you to subscribe to the topic for future updates on this. Work is being done

Thanks for the feedback too @NXT_tank :thumbsup_tone2:

I second the idea of having an option with just the administrator account being HiFi and the rest of the family on Premium.

Interesting suggestion @JelStIy :sunglasses:

I think you're on to something here, our teams are thinking of a similar approach :thumbsup_tone2:

Okay, well I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt as I can’t claim to know anything on the subject. But I still don’t understand how Deezer got left behind as the only one of the big four ‘lossless’ services without a Family Hi-Fi plan.

All would be forgiven if you work out a way to mix Hi-Fi & Premium plans, though. 😊

We're a small team, @Viewtiful Bob, you're rooting and I'm working for the underdog :relaxed:

Thanks for understanding and obviously for your genuine feedback, hope this comes soon!

Thanks @Rudi . You know it’s only because I’m a huge advocate & fanboy of Deezer. It’s by a country mile the best streaming service, especially for music discovery & day-to-day recommendations. It’s the only service (and I’ve tried them all extensively)  that acknowledges there are people out there with music tastes that go beyond one genre, or that I might wake up with no idea what ‘mood’ I’m in. Flow is the best in the business for this (not that it’s perfect, especially with its bizarre 2000 song limit - I filled that in a few months). I personally love Rachmaninov following Rage Against The Machine, or The Corrs with Cannibal Corpse. 😊 Hi-Fi is the icing on the cake. Hi-Fi Family would be the hand-placed cherry.

Every time someone tells me they subscribe to Spotify, I say “Seriously, you have to give Deezer a try.” Most in this country have barely heard of it, and that’s a crying shame. I’m glad you at least engage with your audience, and please keep that up. (But also please accelerate all the great ideas you say you’re working on.) 😊

Rob

"I personally love Rachmaninov following Rage Against The Machine, or The Corrs with Cannibal Corpse" I'm right there with you on this one!

I know exactly what you mean @Viewtiful Bob that's the spirit of our teams at Deezer as well - everyone is crazy about music and working hard to put the service where it belongs. We don't have the PR coverage other streaming services may have, but we're proud of what we do with the people have.

I strongly believe a Family + HiFi option is essential, we just need to cross the finishing line on this one :thumbsup_tone2: let's stay in touch!

ok so let me get this straight, i have a deezer hifi account which is expensive enough.  the only way for me and my wife to listen to music at the same time is to have two hifi accounts?  this would happen maybe an hour or two a day at most?  i also have one child that will probably be using music soon.  And to add to the mix, I have deezer hifi attached to my logitech media server.  well, what happens if i want to listen to hifi from my android account because I left the house for a walk, but my wife is at home listening to the music server?  would that mean i have to log off to the account attached to whole house option on the logitech media server, then log on to my mobile phone?  then do the reverse when I get home?

this is getting really complicated really fast.  i just can’t imagine that the expectation is to continue to log on and off from multiple devices…  what a pain…

i just looked at tital.  tital family gives me six user accounts for hifi for 30 bucks.  so i could use one account for the whole house solution.  and my wife and i could have separate accounts.   and my girl could have an account of her own.  this sounds simple to me.

deezer hifi is 15 dollars.  if i wanted to do the same, i would be at 60 dollars a month with deezer hifi as i would need 4 accounts.

can someone from deezer just confirm this please?

even tital is a bit at double dipping.  i wish these guys would have some empathy of a family, multiple devices logged in at the same time, and family members moving around to different settings.  it’s totally unreasonable to expect someone to continue to log in and log out of every device after they use it, and how does that work when you have a whole house solution?

different family members rotate to the same set devices.  each person may have a different need but that need could be fulfilled via playlists.

what i really need is just one family account with the ability to stream on 3 devices at the same time.  then who cares who is at each device?    so a good family hifi plan should be one account for 15/mo, then add 5 dollars a month for each additional simultaneous streaming.  but the key is just one account.  this is reasonable and doesn’t force having to sign in and sign out all the time.

so it looking back on this thread, it has been going on for 3 years -- talking about a hihi family option.  if someone could respond back to me about the realistic options here.  it was only 2 months ago that Rudi had a positive response.  if this is going to come out in the few months or so, i can wait and i really don’t want to jump to tidal.
