The point of music app is to play music on all available devices in the eco system, including Homepod. When you activate Spotify shortcut on Homepod it automatically connects to iphone and plays music. Even “small” developers such as those that created myTuner Radio app did this - when I activate their shortcuts - my Homepod starts automatically to play radio station.
With Deezer, shortcuts work only on iPhone, iPad, but not on Homepod. So in order to play music on Homepod one would need to open Deezer app, connect to Homepod and then play it.
I think this is something that Deezer should do ASAP, as this is one of the crucial features of every music streaming app. Thank you.

After 10 months still not happened.
in the mean time YouTube music and the rest of other Music apps does that wonderful on the HomePod.
Deezer, you surely do some strange things regarding how the IOS app behave, like for example there is no AirPlay icon on the main screen, but instead you got chrome cast!
Apologies for the icon@Yoyo . It has to do with the fact that our Cast integration was the predecessor, with more scope of users.
