Hi Deezer
I’m very unhappy with the situation I find myself in! I’ve been happily listening to music on Saturday night when I find my account has been blocked! He message I received on my Sonos system app is as follows....there was a unusual high count rate on you account and we have blocked you. As a deezer elite customer and paying the best part of £20 a month I do not wish to be cut off half way through an evenings enterainment. Could you please clarify deezers position on their streaming as I feel that I’m not getting my monies worth at this time.

Yours faitherly

Hi Simon, Thanks a lot for your feedback! Skipping tracks or moving the progress bar on the Sonos player counts as being a new song. There is a skip limit of 150 songs per hour on the system as a security measure to avoid account sharing and crashes.

Kindly note that the measure only locks the Sonos player for an hour, but you can still use the service in all the other platforms.
I have a premium account, and yet I receive an error message stating that I reached the maximum number of skips. Is this ok? How can I enjoy unlimited listening? One thing to add, maybe irrelevant: I am listening deezer through a smart tv

I have a deezer premium account, but lately when I listen to deezer on the smart tv it stops playing after a few songs and tells me my skip limit has been reached. This happens without skipping any songs.

Have you already reinstalled the app?
I am very unhappy with the sudden message telling me that "that my play count was unusually high during the last hour" and that my account "will be temporarily blocked" !!! What is that. I am a premium client, I pay, I have a family account and then this ??????
Please tell me how to resolve this quickly or I'll change music provider pronto.

Sonos App connected to Deezer on my iPhone. But same message on the Sonos Controller App on MacBook Pro.

Hi there, I understand that this is not ideal, but the skip limit on sonos is actually intended and not a bug. We have passed this feedback on to our team in the past already, but there are no short term plans to change this as of now. This is to make sure the app runs smoothly.

But we will continue to pass this feedback on to the team and I hope that this can be changed in the future! 🤞🏽
Account temporarily blocked! I understand about the scrubbing accounting for songs ,150 songs per minute etc but this is how I make up a playlist and sample music I have never heard, I thought this product would give me the freedom to do that.As it stands I'm paying for a product I can't use until deezer sees fit to unblock me. What would happen if we the customers decided to block our direct debits ,oh that's right that's not how thing should work is it. Get it sorted

@Ksdgrimm I merged your post into this topic. As of now there are no short term plan to remove this limit as mentioned above, but we've passed this feedback on already and hope this will change in the future,
Like the other posters on this thread I am extremely annoyed about the skip limit. I was trying to create a playlist last night and was sampling various tracks when Deezer suddenly blocked the account. This limit seems completely arbitrary and unfounded. When paying a significant amount for the service each month, I do not want to be managed in this way. You need to address this, Deezer, or we will be cancelling our subscription and changing provider.

Same "issue" here

Paying the mst expensive HIFI subscription that can only be used on tier speakers like Sonos but reach the mixium limite and blocked for an hour

Totally and completely unacceptable

During 1 hour can't use what I'm paying for even on the phone that can't manage HIFI quality.. no sense

Thank you for the feedback @computman I'm sorry that's the case.

Hi there @nielst

Thank you for reaching out to us - sorry for my reply in English, Danish isn't supported here yet.

Please see above for more info. And to speak to our support team, please click here

hmm I did talk to support - but no real solution was offered. I was told that I would receive an email so we could investigate further. Thing is I haven't read that there's a 150 skips limit - and for sure it wasn't there when I signed up years ago. I don't want this limit on my account and I must admit that the support and contact options could be improved…

Thank you for coming back to me and for your feedback @nielst. I can appreciate why you feel the limit shouldn't be there, but it's a setting for all users, in place for the reasons mentioned above. I'll let our teams know how you feel about this. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Deezer,

Please allow me to add myself to the number of frustrated people. I'm in my HIFI Audio listening room seeking for new audio perls along some playlist and all of a sudden reach a skipp limit? WTF, sorry. There must be better algorithm to detect potential shared accounts, etc. this is not a valid justification for me at all!

I'm a long time Deezer user and have a family account, but experiences like this features make users considering to check out if your competition has the same limitations.

Sorry, this is not okay if I pay this level on money month by month.

Kind regards Daniel

Thank you for your feedback and for your support all this time @dburger

In order for me to pass your comments on, could you please detail the reasons why you skip more than 150 tracks per hour? Is it something in the experience that makes you skip or is it a personal reason? Let me know so that we can explain the developers how this affects your experience :v_tone2:

I agree with the frustration met by others. I’m sat with my Sonos building a playlist I want to have playing whilst I work. I’m simply listening to various tracks and skipping to see if I recognise them, like them, the song fits with the overall ambience I’m looking for. Next thing I’m locked out.

I have a family Deezer plan but if this is how the app is meant to behave then it looks like I’m going to have to look at competition. If other services don’t restrict this kind of user behaviour then I’m off. Shame really as I like most things about Deezer but this is a real sticking point for the money I’m paying. A Sonos set up ain’t cheap by any stretch and by having a 3rd party service now basically lock it is wholly unacceptable. There wasn’t even a warning pop up that I was nearing any sort of limit.
