Upgrade to Family from Premium via iTunes


Thought still subscribe, I just cancelled my Premium in Apple to subscribe to Family, but with error "Not eligible to subscribe to this account"

At the moment it's not possible to automatically upgrade a subscription from Premium+ to Family via iTunes so you need to cancel the current subscription and then resubscribe.

To cancel it's very simple:

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store.
2. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen.
3. Tap View Apple ID. You might need to sign in or use Touch ID.
4. Tap Subscriptions.
5. Tap the Deezer subscription and cancel.

When that subscription expires you'll be able to subscribe to Family 😃

Hi @EPAnasco, if you are still subscribed via Itunes (even if you have already cancelled it) you need to wait until the current Premium+ subscription ended. As soon as that happened, you will be able to subscribe to Family 😉
I have been with Deezer for months now and have so far been satisfied with the service. In trying to join a family subscription, I was told I was not eligible. I have not found any reason why I should not be ELIGIBLE for this subscription for which I intend to pay full price. I hope that this may be sorted out or that I can at least be given a reason for this and can subscribe to cheaper Spotify student instead.

Hi @Neil Mckeone, you are eligible but you need to cancel your current subscription first and wait for it to end. Afterwards there shouldn't be any issues 🙂

If you want to upgrade to Family account you first need to cancel the current subscription , wait for the billing period to over and then renew your subscription but this time choose "Family"
One month ago I subscribe in premium and I changed to family. But now I have this information and I whant to have family plan

There is a link on the confirmation email you received from them to "report a problem". Please click there and let them know about it 😉

If you didn't receive any message from them means that your subscription has another email address. Please contact iTunes and explain them what is happening. They will be able to find your account with your payment details 😉

Upgrading to Family is possible but you will have to cancel your current subscription ( If you are using Premium + ) and wait for the billing date . After your account switched to free you can upgrade to Family .
I want to change my subscription from Premium + to Family, but a pop up window says I can't do this. Why? Please help

Hi, I have Deezer premium account but it’s paid through my mobile Three account. I don’t seem to have the option to upgrade this to a family account, can you help?

If you want to upgrade to Family you first need to cancel your current subscription and wait for it switching to a free account . Then you'll have the option to choose Family account .

If you are on premium + you first should cancel your subscription and wait for your account to become free. Then you will be able to subscribe to Family .

Hi LuisAndrea Medina, you are currently subscribed through Cricket and therefore you would need to cancel that subscription first before you are able to subscribe to Family 🙂
Im trying to set up a family subscription for me and my two parents as im the one already with a premium account but it just says im not eligble for the offer and i dont understamd why could someone explain this to me?
