Questions about Deezer Family subscription and devices

Why would I pay for a family plan if I have to share my email address and password to essentially log into the same account? What is the point? You can switch between profiles just by clicking a button? Why don't I just subscribe for cheaper and share my email and password and everyone can just log into the same account? What is the thought process here? What do the separate profiles even do? Ugh. So frustrated by this entire process AND by subscribing (which I think is the honest, ethical thing to do) I LOST out on my free 30 days and was billed IMMEDIATELY? Who is thinking this stuff up?

Hello there @Макс Синєгуб

No, with a family plan everyone has their own account, just under the umbrella of the main account holder, or manager, who handles payment for the account.

Hi there @Angela.Sutcliffe

If you're a Premium subscriber, the use of our app is exclusive to you - this means that it will only play music in 1 device at a time, with up to 3 devices being linked to the account. By using Family (you're meant to share it with your closed ones), you also give other users the possibility to have their own Flow and playlists, without interfering with yours and more devices can be registered.

About your 30 day trial, when you subscribe to Family you get a disclaimer the trial would be ended. But you can always chat to our guys in support and see if they can do anything for you 😉

Hi there @roadrunner 007

Thanks for reaching out to us. Once you've got a Family subscription, each profile (maximum of 6) can listen to music simultaneously. We're also looking into building a way to login to each of these profiles, separately, as a lot of users have been asking for this - I believe that's what Angela is referring to above :thumbsup_tone2:

It’s not working like this.  I setup different profiles, and only 1 can listen to music at a time.  My wife, my son, or myself.  I even tried logging into different browsers and selecting different profiles… Hit play on 1, and it cuts any other profile off.

When will this be fixed?  I’ve logged out and re-logged in already.

Hey @phonetica since you have a Family account you should definitely be able to listen at the same time in each profile.
However, what you can try to do is to create independent profiles following the instructions on this support article: https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360007641517

Please let us know if that work.

Thanks :)

Will other family members know my main password if I choose a Deezer Family?

Hey @Макс Синєгуб please check the info in the following link in order to create independent profiles in your Family account: https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360007641517
Let us know if you have any further questions :)

On April 13, 2019, make the subscription to dezzer family, but it has not been possible to activate the service for other users, it is only active in the master account.
please I request that the service be activated for other users. Thanks.

I don't understand, if only one feed is allowed at a time, then why pay for family access, when the other people in the account cannot look at their things? Sounds to me like the same as a single portal that only one member in a "family plan" can be using the Internet??? Very confused! Why would I pay extra for "lines" when I can use one at a time! Kinda defeats the offer of family shared internet! My guess is that the family plan makes your company more money! It's a Slippery slope you are on!
