Payment being refused


I'm trying to change my payment method to Paypal, because 6 cards I've tried now were rejected, despite having sufficient funds. But when I go to my profile, and to "manage my subscription", it just redirects me back to my account every single time. It feels like Deezer just does not want me to subscribe. Can anyone please help me? Been struggling for days.

Hey there, if your payment is being refused, please contact your bank and make sure there aren't any issues with your card.

If your bank tells you everything is ok, please delete the cache and cookies in your browser and try it again. Try another browser if necessary.

Also, please make sure that:

- There are sufficient funds to pay your Deezer subscription

- Your credit card is able to make overseas purchase (Deezer is based in France)

- Your card does not expire in the next three months

- There are no restrictions in place preventing you setting up regular subscription payments

- Your card is registered in the country you are trying to start your Deezer subscription in. (For example, you cannot use a Brazilian credit card if you are in Mexico starting a Mexican Deezer subscription.)

- You don't have security apps installed on your computer that are preventing payment details being entered on the Deezer web site. Make sure your settings allow for pop ups and see Deezer as a safe site

Hi @Jade.Waterloo , are you trying to subscribe from a computer? Please clear the cache/cookies/historic, make sure the flash player is updated and try from a different browser as well 😉

Hi there! Done just that, on every browser and it's still not working, I'm immediately redirected back to my account. I tried on the app as well, and when I click Manage Subscriptions it just gives me a pop-up for Deezer. Every time. 😞
I have the exact same problem, I've tried 3 different cards and I've tried to subscribe on my mobile and the computer and it just states there is an error, I've been a member for years but I had to change my payment details because I switched banks and now nothing is working. I have also contacted my bank and they say there is no issue on their end. I have posted a couple of times on here to seek advise and I have received no help so I might just have to move onto Spotify as this is becoming too much of a nuisance.

Hi @Jade.Waterloo , please don't click on the manage my subscription because you don't have a subscription at the moment. Please click on subscribe on the left hand side 😉

Hi @Matthew Lewis , I can see that your bank refused the payment, but you managed to subscribe with your PayPal 🙂

If I go to that option it only gives me the bank card option, and that really doesn't work. So, I need a subscription to manage my subscription? But I can't get a subscription because I can't manage my subscription. 🤔

Hi @Jade.Waterloo , you do need a subscription to be able to manage it. The subscription management page is to change the card details or type of plan... In your case you need to have one subscription first. 😉
hi, i changed my credit card. than it sad i get a free trail till mid january. why do i still get a message, that my payment failed? thanks, roland

Hi there, I've checked here and you started your free trial on the 18th so you shouldn't be getting any payment failed messages. Could it be that you have a different Deezer account, where another subscription is active and that's where the messages are coming from? Please contact our support on this link and they'll look into that for you 🙂
I have changed my payment details a number of times and every time I get an email with the following description "We're writing to inform you that the automatic renewal payment for your Deezer Family subscription was refused by your bank. To continue enjoying your Deezer Family subscription, please change your payment method."

I have tried on my handset and on PC. Still no success.

Hi @Andries , please get in touch with your bank and try to subscribe again in about a week time. The only thing we can see in our system is that your bank is refusing the payment. 😉
I added a debit card for Deezer payment which was accepted the first time but on the next payment it failed. I called the bank to check but they say there's no issue at their end. The e-commerce services are available on my debit card so I wonder what's causing the problem given it was successful the first time.

Hi @sherazmateen , we don't really accept debit card in Pakistan... Have you tried a credit card? 😉
I have been using a prepaid card for many months and today I saw that the amount was credited, then reversed and then an email received that my charge had failed ?

Some new policy against prepaid cards perhaps ?
My account was on one of my parents debit cards and when I went to change it over to my debit card it took the payment but will not allow me to use any of the premium features

@rubanj you bank refused the payments. We can't tell you why but Deezer will try again tomorrow. If there are still issues, please get in touch with your bank and ask why the payments are being refused. As soon as that's sorted, there shouldn't be any issues 🙂

Hi @Conor.Lynam , I checked your account and saw that your bank refused the payments, but after you updated the payment details again yesterday it was successful. So you shouldn't have any issues in the future 🙂

Hi @MsiziM please check the following:

  • Are you trying to subscribe from a computer only?
  • Please clear the cache/historic/cookies f your browser
  • There are sufficient funds in your bank account to pay your Deezer subscription
  • Whether your credit card is able to make overseas purchases (your bank can tell you)
  • That your bank/card provider have not placed any restrictions preventing you setting up regular subscription payments
  • That your card hasn’t expired or is invalid

I recently changed cards at the bank, and now deezer is refusing payments on my new card no matter how many times i update my details it just says incorrect details. Help!!

It won't take my card for the payment for my premium. I've had it for a year. And for some reason now it won't take it. Can you please help me.

My payment doesn't want to go through. Even after trying several times updating my payment method. Please help Deezer community.
Dear Deezer,

I have just changed my credit details. However Deezer is saying that the bank is rejecting the payment. Called my bank. It seems that the CVC code is not being sent by Deezer to the bank and this is causing the rejection.
