Deezer HiFi multiple accounts

At present Deezer HiFi only has 1 account per subscription,  family has 6.

Is in future HiFi giving the option for extra accounts per subscription?

Ideally, for me, I'd like Hifi, but need for 2, and family I would only need 4 accounts.

A hifi option with add account be awesome, even if it was a little extra charge for it.

Nobody said something about “no more plan” or “just around the corner”, you are getting something wrong. Deezer has to renegotiate with their content providers for changing their Family plans to include HiFi streaming, and that takes time.

More interesting in this context is the news that Spotify will come up with a lossless streaming offer “later this year in selected markets including Spotify Connect”, not mentioning their Family plans for it though:

I have a hifi account.  I'd like to add my wife as a regular user (not hifi). How do I do that?

Hi @Soundchasr
Keep in mind that a HiFi subscriptions allows you to connect up to 3 devices but you can’t listen on them at the same time.
She can always log in to your account with your email and password, however you won’t be able to listen at the same time.
Let me know if you need further help or if you have any other question:relaxed:

Thanks.  So, is there no way to have a family account with one of the members having hifi?

Not possible at the moment @Soundchasr

Hi @Christopher.Davies at the moment it is not planned to offer a HiFi Family subscription in the short term.
If you have any other questions please let us know :relaxed:

Shame...

This should be fixed.  I too want to add Family to my hifi sub....

Deezer reps, this is such an important plan to offer.

You say not planned, but has it been binned or is it likely to come one day?

You’re losing customers to TIDAL because of this. Even if the price is high to make it work for you, at least offer it as an option.

It is one of the most requested features on Deezer, so there already is an idea where you can vote for it:

Deezer Family and HiFi subscription | Deezer Community, bringing music lovers together

@Squuiid It's very complex to negotiate music rights with the different labels for different models of subscription. I understand it is an opportunity but it's a project that takes a lot of efforts from different teams and we're currently exploring the possibilities - so please vote for the idea as @bluezzbastardzz suggested and subscribe to the topic in order to stay up to date.
Thanks :)

Wait wtf … for more than a year Deezer staff have said I these forums that a Hi-Fi family plan was just around the corner. Deezer catching up with competition from tidal and others.  And now suddenly no more plan… ok that’s it.  I am out. I joined Deezer for the sound quality but other companies clearly care more about it

If you read through past posts by Deezer staff regarding this question it was always “soon” … yes I know negotiations take time but there are other companies offering this so key issues about this have been resolved. I first asked about this feature more than a year ago at a point when tidal was starting to offer the feature … I gave Deezer more than a year but based on the above responses there is no clear timeline … since this is something I care about I will just take my money somewhere else. Not an easy decision. I would like to stay but it doesn’t sound like Deezer is pushing for this hard enough.

Fair enough, community managers always have to be optimistic, I guess. As far as I know, they still have this very high on their todo list. It will be interesting to watch the details of the new Spotify promise to finally release lossless streaming.

Agreed. I suspect that if Spotify do come out with a family lossless plan then Deezer will lose a LOT of custom, myself included unfortunately.

Adapt fast or die Deezer.

Your differentiator is soon to no longer exist and I suspect the big players will eat your lunch.

Spotify can not beat Deezer. Not even Premium plan.

They’ve raised prices at Spotify in Finland. Premium is 10,99, before 9,99. Family plan 18,99, before 16,99. Everyone knows at Deezer the Premium is 9,99 and Family 14,99 with no increase coming.

The “price raise” at Spotify is done now in many markets for real.

If you go annual, you can get Premium 7,50mo. At Deezer.

Please tell me where elsewhere you can have Unlimited Premium 7,50mo, not at Spotify?

Annual hifi is 25% off as well from already cheap 14,99mo. I mean Spotify can have some perks yes, but they surely can not have price as one perk. This said I am not running even if they open today.

It’s because of affordable prices I am able to save and live well poorly.

Honestly 10,99mo a Premium is too much and I only bet their Hifi “offer”. It does not impress me to see how much more one needs to pay just to get “Premium” which in a way is weird stuff.

7,49mo to be exact or 10,99mo that’s a question…

On the other hand I think listening music shouldn’t be this costly. Music is a basic need, and I see no need to overpay just for music, so Deezer pricing and product is good for many people.

Deezer just needs Family Hifi, and there’s nowhere said Spotify will come with one.

Currently there are at least two new facts concerning Deezer HiFi: last Friday they announced per email to HiFi customers that the yearly subscription price has been lowered to 135 €, so 45 € less than before, and their HiFi catalogue contains 70 million FLAC tracks now.

Exactly this.

Deezer Hifi 25% off if buyed annually here: https://www.deezer.com/offers/?referer=sonos

If any paid subscriptions, cancel them and once free go for this offer.

Nowhere else can Hifi service cost 11,25mo, only at Deezer.

People let’s face it who buy increased “Spottily” prices Premium can get Hifi at Deezer.

It costs 26 cents more… This is real deal and I do not think people will run FOR …

People will run FROM to have these deals instead of paying raised prices.

Hey @Squuiid @schmiddi

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

As @bluezzbastardzz mentioned, this is very very high in the list of our priorities and in fact, a very complex offer to have due to the industry we work on and existing deals. But, because it's on our priority list, the teams have been working on this, trying to find a way forward. I'm personally optimistic, not because of what other streaming companies are doing, but because I know the work which has been done in the background.

So like @Jaime. said, vote for the idea and you'll be automatically subscribed to the topic for updates. I intend to have more info on our progress in the next couple of months, if not earlier. So please stay tuned! :relaxed:

Good to hear @Rudi and, as always, thanks for the feedback.

I think it’s great to have this level of transparency with your customers and you’re truly an asset to Deezer!
