Changing membership location - moving countries

I have emigrated from the UK to New Zealand and want to change my Deezer premium membership to the right country, and pay in the suitable currency (New Zealand dollars instead of British pounds).

One of my main concerns is losing the playlists we have created over the years. Can these be kept or automatically transferred as we move my account to the correct country?

Before anything changes on the account I would like to know that the playlists can be kept. Otherwise I will need to write down all the songs and create them again...

I look forward to hearing from someone in the know.

Thanks,
Neil

Hi Neil, no need to worry 🙂 You music will stay in your account as it's not linked to the country or the subscription. To change the country, you will need to enter new payment details from New Zealand. You account country will change automatically as well as the price and currency 🙂 Should you have problems with that, you can also cancel the current subscription and wait for it to end and afterwards resubscribe. In that case you music will also stay where it is 🙂
Thanks Anja, I have changed my payment details to my New Zealand bank account when we first got here, which was about 3.5 years ago now. Nothing has changed on our account, everything still thinks it’s a UK Account, payment and music wise. We have still been paying in British pounds, which has then been exchanged by our bank and fees added, so it’s costing us more. I only just noticed this on my bank statement recently as I hadn’t been looking at it before.

As our account hasn’t automatically changed over to New Zealand in line with our bank accounts I guess we’ll have to cancel our subscription, and sign up again through Deezer New Zealand and hope for the best.

I’m not sure how our playlists will remain if we do that though? Surely they just get deleted when we cancel subscription? How would we regain them on a new account?

Sad to say, but if we did lose our music then there’s no real reason not to look around at what else is on offer out there.

Hi there, you just need to cancel your subscription, wait until it's free and subscribe again from New Zealand 🙂 Then it will change automatically. Feel free to send me a private message if you need any help!

I have done above and cancelled and due to restart today as told to do and it will not let change my location or payment terms, unless I upgrade my account and pay more? Why?

Hello @beytelln, what do you mean by “pay more”? What is the price difference?

Have a nice day

I moved from Brazil to USA. I’m trying to change my credit card on my profile but for some reason it says some error occurred and I can’t finish the process.
