Hi there @michalinka

I've moved your comments here so that you can check how to change country above.
Hi there @Eva.Zeman

I get your frustration. As you've subscribed from Czech Republic, the ip address was recognised and your account is set to that country.

If now you live in the Netherlands and wants the account to be charged in EUR and also listen to your local music (not Czech) you need to wait for the subscription to finish/cancel and resubscribe again from where you live now - NL.

Give it a go and let me know if you still need any help ;)

Hi Rudi,
thanks for your help, so my subscription ends in 3 days, and then I'll subscribe again.
Still - it amazes me that there is no easier way how to do this.
But thank you!
Eva
Hey, I live at the border on the German side and want to get deezer Premium but for 19.99zł in Poland (bc I also have only a polish bank account). Do I have to go extra to Poland to get it? And how does it work? I installed deezer bc it showed the polish price, my account is in polish the german price is 9.99€, so double the price, that's too much for me unfortunately... Is there any possibility I could get the polish version?
Thanks in advance 🤙🏻

Hey there @przemoo99

Please follow the tips above and you should be able to register your account in Poland (currently in Germany) 😉
You have to cancel your current account and subscribe again from the country of origin. the country is set automatically, depends on of your ip.
Btw - Deezer guys - this is really strange way how to bill your customers - especially in the modern days when we travel around the whole globe, so my IP address can be different every month, so I could basically just every month get a different subscription fee, until I would find a country with the lowest fee... and believe me I travel a lot.

Just for inspiration - e.g. Adobe where I also have an account, connects customer's account to the country where is the billing address for the payment card which is used for paying the bill (also PayPal accounts have linked country). By switching the account localization from IP location to payment card's billing address, this way your end-users would get more accurate content, than when their account is linked it to their IP address... you would get more satisfied customers... just saying...

Hi there @Eva.Zeman

That's definitely good feedback, thank you 😉
Hi. I am located in the Czech Rep, but I do not want to listen to Czech music in the flow. How can I switch to a different location?
Thanks

Hey there @AFB

Please see above 😉
I started using Deezer and was paying USD 9.99. Recently Deezer started locally and is available for AED 18/ month in the UAE. I went to manage subscription and chose other plan options and it says that my current plans is AED 18/ month. But this is wrong because my current payment is still taking USD 9.99 from my card.

How do I change my subscription plans from USD 9.99 to AED 18/ month without disconnecting my current connection?

Hi Jonathan, you can't change it, the country is set automatically, it depends on your ip...
OK, here's the thing. I subscribed back to Deezer because I like the app, both Win10 and Android, and the suggested content. I also like that you seem to have just about the largest collection of tracks.
BUT - and it is a BIG but....
Although I am from England, I also live a lot of time in Ukraine. I have become a great fan of some Ukrainian artists. Yet, for instance, with Tina Karol you only offer her few English language singles to me. And with the best rock band ever - Okean Elzi - I only get one track when I search.
Now with both of these I can search and get their original discography (or most of it) in Spotify. But Spotify will not work in Ukraine without a VPN...
Do you see my problem? I can get those Ukrainian tracks here in England on Spotify. But on Deezer only if I subscribe when in Ukraine? Something doesn't add up here...
I see the frustration of other customers here... and I understand that streaming rights may depend on location. But if I can get Ukrainian catalogue on Spotify, why not Deezer? It's making me thing that I chose the wrong service...
I am sure that this can be corrected. Come on...

Hi there @Anroga

You get how it works though, when you mentioned the streaming rights - distributors contracts, etc. So perhaps the best suggestion to help you out is to suggest the Ukranian songs you like, so that they become part of our catalogue :)
For that, please visit this topic for more info 😉
It keeps showing me Spanish songs and charts, how do I get it back to English?

Hi @Holliekm please see above how you can do this 😉
What about my case? I had a deezer subscription in Brazil, moved to europe and did not change my payment option, but instead bought a year of deezer using a european gift card. So even living in Europe and buying a subscription in europe, I still have a brazilian account for 2 years (I bought 3 years before see my mistake).

I am just missing so much Spotify. Deezer has a totally dumb system, you can't even pay more to get high quality plan. If you buy years of subscription, deezer already taken your money and don't care about your needs. All can do is wait years to change any aspect of your subscription.

Hi there @Dopync

Sorry you feel that way. Have you spoken to our support team about your account and subscription? I'm not entirely sure I understood you but we've got a HiFi subscription plan for a superior sound quality stream. If you've used the gift cards already, maybe there's something the support team can do.
Hi, my account is suggesting me playlists and top-charts in Germany while I'm in Ireland.

I asked a year ago to change this (I lived in Germany 6 months 2 years ago), I thought it changed but I'm still having my home page and suggestions full of German playlist.

Could you permanently change this on the backend?
I think it's related to the billing country but again it should be Ireland here, not Germany since the billing information is Irish.

Hi there @Maxrider

I've had a brief look on our side and your account is indeed set for Germany. This topic here will help you understand how to change it 😉
I am english, but I live in France.
I do not like French Music, and have difficulties in reading French.
I would like to have my Deezer app in french, and not to have french music playing.

Can anyone help me?

Thnx

@orignac Hey! Thanks a lot for getting in touch 🙂 Deezer is automatically recognised according to the country where the user is when they subscribe. However, if you contact our client support team and they will be happy to help you out 🙂
Dubai, UAE.

Ever since Deezer overhauled its content distribution in the Middle East, I have lost all the suggestions I used to have, those suggestions that helped me discover great music. With personalizing content on region basis the greatest option which I used to love is not gone. Everytime I open the app to look for something interesting to listen to all I can see on the first screen is stuff I have never listened to in my life, probably never will.

Can anyone please fix that!
PS I prefer rock music mostly and the image attached is the first screen I see when I open the app.

Hey @Mohamad Salama ! Please see above how to change country in your account 😉
@Alessandra.Deezer thanks for your reply.
One question though, won't me changing the country opt me to change the payment method for a valid one to the country I will change to? What if I don't have a valid payment method to keep my subscription sustained? Also changing the country is not a solution as it will also show me whats popular or whats hot in the county where my account is set to which brings me back to the same issue which is "not having personalized content" like before this whole country adoption thing.

Thanks.

Hi @Mohamad Salama yes, you will need a valid payment method registered in the country you want to switch to. I am afraid you are right, if you switch country you will also get the popular music in that country, too.
@Flo.Deezer thanks for you reply. Guess I have to keep everything as it is and hope that algorithm is changed somehow 🙂. Still my fav music app though.

Cheers.
