Account already in use


Recently when listening music, every minute or so, I’ll get an error along the lines of ‘your account is already in use on another device’ and the music will stop.

I’ve checked my linked devices and there is only the iPhone I’m currently using, nothing else.

Hope you can help, this is really annoying.

Hi @Rudi, I tried this, sadly it didn’t work either.

Some more info: these errors occur in bursts, if that makes sense. So sometimes I’ll be able to listen for an hour without any problems and sometimes it’ll happen every minute.

You have to reset your password and, if your account is linked to facebook/google, change their password too, please.
Same thing happens to me. I get the message someone else is listening with my account. Even more annoying: i cannot change my own password or mailaddress! I am out!

Sorry to hear that. I've unlinked Facebook from your account and sent a password reset email to your pandora.be email. You can change the password and then access Deezer via a PC/Mac in order to change your email. Let me know if you need any help.

I have same issue but only on Win 7 OS.
No matter how many times I have logged out and in, changed password, upgraded windows and ensured that the Deezer software is up to date.
Happens both in browsers and in software.

I believe this is a Deezer issue.

My Android Apps function fine.

It is a common issue that may occur repeatedly whenever an update is installed.

Yes, @Marcin Podgórski. I can certainly try. I've performed some maintenance tasks on your account and have sent another password reset email. Try again (change your password) and let me know if the issue persists. We're currently investigating this as it affected other users.

I have had these issues repeatedly and always when software update for my Windows 7Pro was installed.
Solution appears to be to create a new password and unlink all devices and then change password again.

After that you can link devices again.

I just find it a bit unacceptable that a payware like Deezer send updates out creating these issues.

I get your point, certainly @Lars Holst. We constantly work to bring new features to the app, sometimes with a few hiccups which unintentionally harm the user experience. But we don't negate these, we need feedback like yours to make sure we improve.
Our desktop app strives to keep up with developments and with more experience and such a helpful user base, we'll get there.
On a more specific note, when you mention software update, you mean Windows updates or solely our app being updated?
Over My issue one update,yesterday I saw that somebody else ( no one who I know) was listening music from my account because when I've checked last listening there was definitely not my music.
