@Anja Let me know if the problem gets fixed. In the meantime.... Bye bye.... I'm off to Spotify.

I think that unfortunately that is the only option that remains to be done.

@Anja @Ana. @Rafael. http://ak-ns.sascdn.com/diff/js/smart.js is the problem script, in case the devs were still searching for the culprit.
I confirmed this suspicion by testing the player multiple times, with the script enabled and disabled.
So for now I managed to make my media center app able to run uninterrupted.

FIX

@ everyone that is overly frustrated about not being able to enjoy your music, block this script and enjoy the wonderfull sounds you're used to.
(tip: to block the script you can use an extension/addon., for example HTTP Request blocker on chrome or any other extension of choice)

Don't forget to unblock it again, after Deezer has a fixed version.

@Atomic You are a star mate! Thank you soooo much on behalf of @ everyone for being proactive and taking the initiative to dig in deep and find the FIX. However, for the not-too-technical amongst us who might struggle with installing the request blocker add-on required to block the script @Atomic has identified, please be reminded that the Private Browsing solution is still working. But like the FIX suggested by @Atomic this should only be a temporary solution until such time Deezer gets around to actually FIXING the issue.

@Anja @Rafael. @Ana. Please tell Deezer's management to hire @Atomic!! He's obviously doing a far better job than Deezer's techs and developers.

@Atomic First of all, you are awesome! thank u for doing what deezer neglected to do and helping out fellow users

If u could help me out with my issue though it would be perfect
the extension helped in the sense that I can now finally click the "next" btn now and it actually works! (yay)
although it still freezes if i dont click next and let the song finish playing...
would u know by any chance what im doing wrong?
I can send a screenshot if it helps

@litalg I would first confirm that the browser is actually blocking smart.js, just to be sure.
You should see an error like this in the developer tools (tab console).

(I am using chrome, but the dev tools are usually opened by F12 on all major browsers.)

If that is the case, than you should be good to go.

In my case I am not using any adblockers on Deezer, so you might want to check to see if you are and if it helps turning them off.
If it still won't work, let me know which browser you are using and perhaps send that screenshot with the developer tools console open.

PS: I have also noticed that in some cases having the developer tools open, can cause Deezer to not load the page or stop playing. So make sure you initially test with the dev tools closed.
Badge
@Atomic thank you for ur quick response
I am using chrome and for some reason it works better with the adblock on (weird)
I checked the dev tools area and besides the first two errors than the other one keeps repeating itself
(attached screenshot)
It currently works with the adblock off but maybe it will act up again because of the error I see in the console.log?

@litalg if it currently works with just smart.js blocked and all other (ad)blockers turned off, I would use it like that for a while. If it keeps working, that's another confirmation for the deezer devs that smart.js is the root of the problem.

On the other hand looking at the nature of the other errors, it seems to me that those will cause issues. (unless their sole purpose it feedback to Deezer)
If you are getting those errors with adblock disabled, based on my experience at the moment I would say there is something else still active and blocking connections. Make sure you don't have multiple adblockers or any other type of blockers installed/enabled. (Best to go to the extensions page and check from there as they are often not visible on the toolbar)

One other thing to keep in mind is system wide blockers/redirectors, sometimes you forget those things.
For example the Windows "host" file in "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" or tools like fiddler. It is best to disable/close those for testing.

But I can conclude that Deezer also works again for you?
Badge
@Atomic YES! I'm even giving the solution to my bf as we speak
it's currently working and I don't want to touch a thing lol
if it continues to make trouble I will triple check the extensions, thank you so much!
as I said- you are AWESOME

who are u writing this to?
okay so after one song ,it stops playing honestly im getting tired of this problem that has been there for more than 2 weeks ..if this is a part of some sick plan to make us suscribe youre nuts

@haika Given that has now been more than 3 weeks since this topic was first initiated, and as there is still no resolution from Deezer, I am inclined to agree with your conclusion about Deezer trying to make us subscribe. However, I would suggest that this is just a misguided and failed commercial strategy, as opposed to a "sick plan", but it does in fact appear that the individual high up in Deezer's management team who came up with this strategy, may in fact be "nuts".

Furthermore, given that @Atomic has identified a temporary solution which Deezer's developers seem to have "missed", the conspiracy theory which indicates that Deezer's strategy is both purposeful and aggressive, as @Atomic previously suggested, seems to be even more substantiated now.

hey @Atomic ,
I deleted all of the extensions that seem to be blocking
but now it has gotten worse. not only it doesn't continue the flow it stops mid song and the player shows as if it still going
plus for some reason its not showing that its blocking the js.
somethings off, I guess a good night's rest left the code to kill itself.

@litalg May I suggest that you save yourself the technical grief and just enable Private Browsing on Firefox. Simple and easy non-technical temporary solution which has allowed me to continuously listen to track after track...whilst waiting for Deezer's development geniuses to deliver a miracle (i.e., a permanent solution).
Badge
@ctendler1 that would be superb if firefox actually worked.
no matter which computer im on or which website I go to it gives me the same error
"your connection is not secure"
even google.
so.. yeah.

That's a bummer @litalg !! Sorry to hear that neither temporary solution is working for you. I'm not a techie, so I can't offer any further assistance. Unfortunately it seems like your only option at this point is to wait until Deezer finally gets around to fixing the problem (likely never at this rate), or like so many other users have already done, jump ship to another service.

Believe me, if I had not found the temporary Private Browsing solution, I too would have jumped ship weeks ago. And in the meantime, I'm just going to continue being a thorn in Deezer's side because I just hate the probability that Deezer may have purposefully created this problem as a strategy to push free users to subscribe. But this much is for certain...I personally will never become a paid Deezer subscriber.

@litalg as to my experience smart.js has to be blocked for now. With it running I cannot get the player to work correctly, off it works everytime. (because if you deleted all blocker extension, you'll have to reinstall the one to block that smart.js)
When you describe that the player stops mid song, I have noticed that this happens after you have the developer tools open for a few seconds. So make sure that's not the case.

In didn't know the firefox private browsing workaround also still works, but if it does you can indeed use that method.

If you can't get anything to work, I might be able to give you a copy of my app, to identify is it's your system or your deezer client.

PS: @ctendler1 Just to clarify, I never said this problem was a market strategy by Deezer. Certainly because there also seem to have been paid users that reported the same issues. Must have confused me with someone else on that.
From a user service standpoint I do agree with you and feel it has been too long. Maybe they have a small dev team to support the entirety of Deezer's services and apps, and from experience I know developers are usually very hard working people, but Deezer as a company should be able deal with a service breaking issue faster.

@Atomic True, you never said this problem was a marketing strategy by Deezer, but you did suggest that perhaps Deezer was being aggressive with free users. I take full credit for running with that statement and then I went on to suggest that the problem was the result of a failed commercial strategy by Deezer.

Sorry for any confusion however, and I certainly didn't intend to misrepresent any of your comments. BTW, I am indeed aware the problem has also been reported by paid users and I have referenced this as well in previous replies. Thank you for your support whereas the user service standpoint is concerned, and I'm sure the developers also very much appreciate your supportive feedback.

Hey guys, we know it's been too long. Believe me, this is very frustrating for me too as I would love to give you some good news. Hopefully this will be soon. @Atomic is right and our developers are very hardworking but sometimes it's too much work for the team we have but we do mean it when we say this is being taken seriously.

Please don't think that we don't care, because we do 🙂

Thank you for the patience and I do hope I'll have some good news this week or at least an ETA, we're pushing for it because we know how frustrated you all are.
I'm unable to play all songs in a playlist. If the first song in the list finishes, the next song does not play even if I press the next button. It just stop after the first song. The next button doesn't seem to work but it is active, but it use to work before. I cannot even play songs from other playlists unless I refresh the page.

Hey Pondje, please take a look at the conversation above 🙂
The problem is as follows:

After I've selected an album and played the first song whole, I can not move to the next track, nor can I change the album.
I click, I click the next button, but DO NOT change track.
He always plays the same song.
In the bottom left corner it shows that it has changed tracks, but it continues playing the previous song.

Every time I want to change music I have to reload the page with "F5".

I'm using Google Chrome version 65.0.3325.146 and Internet Explorer 11.
Can someone help me!

Best regards
Mark Paris

I don't know if someone also notice that, but I have been facing the same issue here when I was using my PC (Win 10 Pro), even today early in the morning. However, I had to change computers and I am listening deezer playlists on my laptop (that has Win 7) with no issue at all.

I am not into computers and I don't know if there is any relation here, but hope this info can help the team to figure out what is going on.
