Thanks @Rob Igo
Will look forward to that. There are actually a few important features that still need to be added to that version (for example, you cannot go the album page as you can do with the Android version as well as the Windows 10 app version)

Whist on the subject of the Windows 10 app version, are there also plans for the crossfade function to be released on that?

Correct me if I am wrong but they are two separate programs i.e. Windows Desktop App and Windows 10 App, right?

Yes @abinash9206 you are correct the two programs are separate (win 10 app and desktop beta app).

I'm hoping that many features will be added over time - it's only been out for a few months so I'm sure as time goes on lots of features will be added 🙂

Cool. Thanks for the feedback @Rob Igo
Hi

Running the desktop beta with Bluetooth headphones, the play/pause button has no effect. How do I go about fixing this?

I've now tried two different headphones and they both have exactly the same problem but the next and previous buttons work fine. This is on one of my PCs at work running Win 8.1 Pro.

With the desktop beta running on my home laptop (Win 7), the pause/play button works correctly (using one of the headphones that had the problem in work).

I've noticed there's a new update - 0.2.55

any changelog anyone?

My media keys still don't work from my usb keyboard and the live radio (I use BBC Radio 1) is still very quiet/not the same as other music.
Little bug in Deezer b 0.2.55 desktop app on Mac (actually running last OS version 10.13.3).

When I'm trying to add a track to a playlist using the 3dots after the track's name, a pop-up scrollable menu appears to let me choose in which playlist I'd like to add the track. Normal. When I scroll down to the very bottom to add the track to the last playlist, the pop up menu disappear and I'm not able to add the track to the playlist.

By the way, it could be nice to improve the sorting order of the playlist (i.e. by date, by name, etc..). in this same pop-up scrolling menu. Or maybe I can set it up in another location that I missed...(I've founded it in the playlist window but the pop-up doesn't reflect this choice)

Thanks for the info Anja. On my desktop PC app the new app is good, but It still only has the icons of albums and playlist, and not a drop down list, like the web site. It takes a while to scroll through all the icons, but quicker with a list. The older version app I still have on my PC is still better, with the smaller playlist and album icons list on the left hand side. The web site is just the best ever. Cheers, Ken.

I think the beta of he desktop app is pretty mouse and keyboard centric. While macOS is limited to that morality, you could explore a more mixed UI that uses touch.
For example, ditch the top row menu lists. They are ugly and superfluous. Reworking our mobile app might be a better option.

Hi,

I'm using Windows 10 with all the latest updates installed. SInce the last Deezer beta app update (ver. 0.2.5.5), the app started to skip tracks while playing an album. I tried to switch the shuffle option on and off, but that didn't help at all.

Thanks!

Can you remove the albums which cause issues from your library and delete the smart cache/ cache in the Desktop app and restart it? Does that help?

Hi Anja,

thank you for the reply. I simply cleared the cache (less than 1 Gb, with maximum size set to 10 Gb), and it's working alright so far.

Hello everyone, my app has just updated to version 0.2.59.

Anybody know what the changes (hopefully improvements are).

My media keys still don't work 😞

Also whilst I'm here - what does "Bring all to front" do?

Also @Anja is this worth pinning to the top of troubleshooting thread? (as ends up a few pages back sometimes and people don't know it's here to report bugs) - just an idea! 🙂
1) Please please please add dedicated buttons for the touchbar of the recent macbooks. I used to be on Spotify, and they did that really well. When the app is not in use (selected), there is a shortcut to track control buttons only. That expands when you go on the app.

2) Display playlists on sidebar.

3) Remember previously played track/playlist when app is closed

I have to say though, I'm enjoying this first month. Might actually just switch completely.

I can't really pin a comment to the top but I could edit your first post with an update. What exactly did you want to highlight?

Hi Anja nothing in particular it was just because I wanted it easily visible for people coming to the troubleshooting thread with Desktop beta feedback/questions - no worries 🙂

Sorry, I just read throuhg it again and I think I know what you mean. You wanted to pin the whole topic to the forum, correct? That I'm happy to do 🙂

@Richard Medlicott @oldrecord I moved your comment to this topic as this is a better place to discuss the beta app in general 🙂
I have a bug on MacOS desktop version:
  1. Open a songs list larger than 50 songs in it.
  2. Click any song to listen from 1 to 50 - thats all good.
  3. Click any song to listen from 50 and more - Deezer plays a previous song in list. Sometimes plays random song.
MacOS Sierra 10.12.6, Deezer v0.2.59
Sorry if my english is bad 😉

Hi there, just tested it with the same sierra and Deezer version and had no issues. Are these just playlists that you've added to your library or do you have the same problem with lists that are not added to your music?

Hello, Anja!
I have this this issue in "Top tracks" playlists. "Favorite tracks" list has no issues for me.
I recorded video from the desktop to showcase this issue

Thanks a lot for the video 🙂 That's really strange, I wasn't able to reproduce the problem. Do you have that issue with other artsts (all artsts) too? And does it still behave like this if you fully closed and reopened the app?

I tried Deezer HiFi along with beta windows desktop app today and can't say that I'm happy.
Right after installing I can play nothing from the app - all I receive is "try again later". I tried different quality levels but in vain. After restarting the computer app works, but after 5th track it again stuck with the same error. After 10-15 minutes it started to play again to stuck again in 10 minutes.
I tried Ethernet and WiFi - no difference. The Windows 10 app as far works without any issues - but I want to check out HiFi quality which is accessible only through desktop app.

Hi there, does this happen when you're actively using the app or while it runs in the background? Could it be the scrensaver or battery saver mode that's causing it?

Hi Anja
Thank you for the answer.
It doesn't matter whether I use it in background or foreground. The results are the same. The only thing I use is Cytrix receiver and TeamViewer to connect with remote computer, I will try to use Deezer without it however as I wrote previously Deezer windows 10 app works with no issues in such environment.

Let me know, if it shows the same behaviour if not connected to any other device. 🙂
