let's use this post for anything to do with the new Beta Desktop App 🙂

MEDIA Keys (my desktop / laptop computer keyboard)

The windows 10 app allows music to be paused, skipped via my keyboard media keys even if the app is in the background - this would be a great addition ? to the new Beta App!

When playing radio the volume is low compared to playing tracks

when I play any Live Radio station the volume is really low - compared to when I play normal tracks, please look into!
I've downloaded the beta on Mac osx. When I try to log in it says I must be a premium+ user, which I am. It won't let me progress any further.

Someone has suggested Media Keys (Play / Pause / Skip Back / Skip Next) etc - be added.

Agreed, and further than that, please add those same buttons in the thumbnail that appears when you hover over the deezer app icon in the windows taskbar. All other mainstream media players support this (iTunes, MusicBee, WinAmp, foobar etc).

yep, its purely windows taskbar feature, would be nice to have.

in this part of "queue/now playing" it's kinda hard to understand what is song name and what is artist's. would be easier to have icons or something.

I would only recommend the visual design to be improved. The app works extremely well so far. 🙂

That's weird, do you get an error message? Works fine for me...

Please add option to select output device from within app instead of computers control panel/sound settings.

Hi @Jason, can you explain this further? What's the issue exactly and is there an error message?
i was trying to download the new desktop app and i got that message, however after a few reinstalls i got the app without that message 😀

I've downloaded the beta but have not been able to use it at all. To clarify, I can login but playing music does not work. Everytime I try to play an album i receive an error. I tried this on a different account before and then made a new account to check but I still received the same error.

are you signing in with a paid/premium/family account as the desktop beta app requires this type of account (not a free account)?

I get a pop up box saying "Error" "an error occurred, please try again later" - however my web player works fine?

I've tried closing it and even re-installing it?

Ignore - I restarted by pc and now it works - god knows what happened there!

So, I have multiple accounts, I wasn't using my premium one! Problem solved.... #facepalm

Hey,
downloaded the BETA for Mac today. I usually keep the App on my 2nd screen on the right half and the left half is blocked by a chat program.
Unfortunately this is not possible anymore since the width of the App is 3/5 of the screen. If you could find a way how to get the design in a way that it supports very slim windows again, I'd highly appreciate.

@kristopherfpfpf, this is known and our devs are already investigating. I will keep you posted here as soon as I know more 🙂
I downloaded the pc program and I have an acc premium but in the program there is no login with google and that is how I have my registered account.
It would be good to add that form of login.

Maybe for now , just as a workaround , you can try type your credentials manually and see if you can login ?
Log in using a Family account. Tried both profiles and in both cases, nothing is played. Clicking the play buttons and nothing happens.
