Question

Bluetooth streaming in MINI car

Having issues with streaming audio in my vehicle. Phone is Essential PH-1 and I drive a 2012 MINI Cooper S with MINI connected audio.

For the record I am a recent convert from Spotify and have never had any issues using the Spotify app in this capacity.

My issue is this... The audio works great and sounds great but after a few tracks or if I skip to the next track manually the song info stops showing up. By this I mean the stereo continues to show the last track I was listening to no matter what I do. If I skip again... Still that song id... If I let it play on automatically... Same id. The only thing that cures is is to turn off the car and start over. I assume this to be an app glitch since I don't have this issue with Spotify or pandora. I have noticed something similar with the Google play music app though.

Anybody else see this issue? If so please list your phone/os and vehicle year and model.

If anyone has a cure I'd greatly appreciate it. I like the Deezer app so far and it's compatible with roku unlike Spotify so I'd really like to keep it but I need it to function properly.

Thanks!

Hi @Jason.O, I'm wondering if is something in your phone blocking Deezer such as master clean, anti virus, battery saver... Do you have any app like these?

Have you already tried the basic troubleshooting?

  • uninstall Deezer
  • clean your phone's cache
  • remove the SD card
  • restart your phone
  • reinstall Deezer
  • open Deezer and download at least one album or playlist
  • reinsert the SD card
