:cyclone: Endless loading? If your phone app isn't loading the tracks or it's stuck with the message "Error: requested content is not loading", don't worry :smirk: . Try the steps mentioned below.

After each step, try playing the music again. If it’s still not working, go to the next step.

Steps for Android

  1. Restart the app (kill the app and remove it from the notification bar)
  2. Try another network (4G or Wifi)
  3. Restart your phone
  4. Delete all the cache & data from the app (Data and storage, and then “Clear all”), then restart the app
  5. Un-install the app and re-install the app

Steps for iOS

  1. Quit and relaunch the app
  2. Try another mobile (4G or Wifi)
  3. Empty Smart Cache
  4. Restart the phone
  5. Clear the app data
  6. Delete the app and reinstall it

Hi @Hotzigetty, sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue.

Could you please record a video so I can better understand your situation?

On android 8.0.8.1 (and a few pervious versions), I have a constant downloading notification.

I traced it back to some Playlist which have one or two songs that have this error. None of the steps seem to be working to get rid of this error.

It's getting kind of annoying really.

Hi @Viktória Jančovičová, sorry to hear that you are having this experience.

Did you check if the battery optimization is not on for Deezer? Did you try clearing the cache of the app or reinstalling it?

If you already did all the steps, please answer the following questions:

• Have you tried to log out and log in again with the email address?
• What's the brand and model of the device you are having problems with?
• What's the version of the operating system (Android, iOS, Windows or Mac) installed on your device?
• If you're using our app, what's the Deezer version installed on your device?
• If you're using Deezer on the web browser, what's your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Edge)? What's the latest version installed?

If could you also send me a screenshot of the app Deezer with the option “Data and storage”, it would be very helpful too.

I repeat these steps every time I want to listen the music. Nothing helps for next time. If the problem continues, I wil cancel my subscription. Sorry, for that money I want something reliable. And it isn't.

Yep, android app sucks, I will cancel my subscription

When I'm not using WI-FI (but in the same time i using unlimited 4G) I can't load or add to favourites any new music. Is there a fix?

My issue was solved:

  1. Clear Cache
  2. Clear Data
  3. Allow Storage permission by myself. App doesn’t ask it by itself in my Android 8.0.
  4. Launch & Login

P.S. Internal storage used. Didn’t try SD card yet. It died recently.

Hey @pissytramp, this error message usually depends a lot on the device used.

Please use this link to contact our Support!

I have followed all the step above on 2 separate occasions yet I still get the same "error: failed to load content" message on EVERY SONG (unless it is already downloaded).

I'm going full Karen right now because I can't even seem to find a contact us section for better support.

I am paying for Deezer premium but I can't use it anymore! This first started happening around 6 months ago, but really sporadically. Now it is continuous... Every song.

Can a member of support please advise because I am just a couple more error messages away from binning Deezer off entirely.

I’ve also tried every step listed for an iOS device multiple times and nothing worked. Lately I have been getting a “There is a network issue. This content can’t load because of poor network quality.”

There is nothing wrong with my Wi-Fi connection, so I have no idea what “poor network quality” is or means. I even ran tests on my router and there are NO issues detected. Actually every other app works fine except Deezer does not play music. I figured this has to be a network outage by Deezer, but if that was the case then I’d see a long list of people with this issue and not only me.

After the initial reply to my support request, which is scripted and asks me to answer questions that I already provided the answers to in my initial request, support does not reply back.

My credit card was just charged for the month and I can’t use the service. I guess I’m paying for a whole month of service that I cannot use and haven’t started to use for the month. I could’ve used that money elsewhere in these tough economic times, but I guess I’m out.

Tried every step several times. Did not work... Sucks to pay for something that doesn't work....

@Cosmic_9 I am sorry about that.
This is the troubleshooting our developers asked to provide to all affected users with the error message.
I know it is a lot of music, but you can easily download the music again from your music library.
Apologies for the inconvenience

No estoy dispuesto a borrar la aplicación y toda la música descargada con ella, son más de 120 GB.

Esta no es una solución real.

Heya I’m an expierienced user at deezer for years. But what im currently facing is new to me. It couldnt show any of the songs. I’ve followed to steps from begin to end and now im not able to log in to the app, while i do get an email with the verification of it was me. So apparently my credentials are right. Is it just the deezer server currenly being down?! Or

Hi

I keep getting the error message for anything I try to use my songs even download ones, podcasts or anything I try to play. I have done all the suggestions but nothing has changed.  I pay for it and it hasn't worked right for a while now please help me fix it I do like deezer and have had it for a long time but I am getting very frustrated.

Thans

I recently had an security update on mij samsung xcover 4s and after this update i got this problem i tried all the above steps and they help for like a little while but then it continues with the same problem.

I can give you the update version and so on if needed.

Kind regards

Aron

After the last update I have this as well. Clearing the cache and reinstalling works for a little bit, but then the problem returns.

I then changed the preferred storage from sd card to internal storage, and I think this might’ve solved it. But it would be nice if I could save my music to the sd card.

(EDITED : wrong section)

Cordial saludo.

Atentamente:

Hello @Harry Mucho mucho amor can you send me the link of the podcast you are talking about?

@Vlinder, please contact our Support here: https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new

They will help you get back access to the account!

I had this problem too and tried all the options. I ended up uninstalling and installing the app. Now I'm unable to log in (not by username/password, facebook or google). Also the login link via email does not work.

The app keeps loading after submitting my password. I can log in on other devices, website and desktopapp. Just not in the android app. How can I solve this?

Hi, i can’t request my podcast in the app, it appear but nothing happens when i tap in my podcast, i nedd a solution please

Hi Conor,

I'm sorry to say it looks like the fault is firmly within your device, so if you've tried clearing the cache and uninstalling/reinstalling the application there's a good chance the fault is with your phone software.

Assuming your phone and android version are supported by the Deezer app (check your Android version under Settings > About Phone for your info), then it looks like you may have some sort of corruption in the operating system that could be interfering with the way the Deezer app works.

Less disruptive than a rebuild at this point is to clear the cache and updates on your Google Play Services (info further up this thread and online), re-update them, and then reinstall Deezer. Try this first.

Failing that, I've contacted Deezer telephone support before and found them helpful, so that might be a last-ditch attempt to fix your issue before taking the plunge and resetting your device as your final option.

I'm open to any other suggestions from the wider community before suggesting that if nothing else works then go ahead with the device reset, and in any case, please please please remember to back up ALL your media / numbers / passwords before you proceed - if in doubt, take further advice!

I'm sorry there's no magic bullet at the moment, but if something does work please let us know.

James

Hi James,

Thanks for the response. I tried all the above and unfortunately I still can't get the app working. I haven't tried the factory reset but I am not willing to do that.

To answer some of your questions I have tried over both WiFi and data with the same result. I can stream from my laptop fine, just the phone app is giving issues. Unfortunately I don't have a spare phone so can't try on another device.

Is there anything else that can be done here?

Thanks,

Conor
