I'm moving to Spotify which remains at £9.99 for an individual plan.

Reply to this post if you are also leaving Deezer due to the £2/$2 price increase.

If a lot of people reply to this post it will send a clear message to Deezer.

Once my yearly HIFI subscription ends (on july) if they continue with those prices I will not renew and will move to Tidal which offers me HIFI for much less than Deezer even on the yearly plan without paying for a whole year in advance. 30% less than Deezer!

What happened to them? have they gone mad?!?!

@Yossi Kozay People living in places where the price was $9.99 only have to pay $1 more, but for the rest of us it’s like: “we don’t care about you, lesser countries”

If it was 2-3$ it's ok but it almost doubles the cost with no improvement in service.

People, including yours truly, are asking for gapless playback for years and nothing changes including so many bugs. It's just doesn't worth it anymore. I will move to Tidal as soon as my subscription expires on July.

@Yossi Kozay  From what a moderator told me, there’s no plan or adapting the prices to region again. Let’s see what happens after the 1st quarter of the year.

I just bought a month on Tidal and I actually like it :) the same hifi quality and there I have gapless playback. That seals the deal for me :)

They’re increasing the price plans? when?

If they do, I think the better option is to switch, like other streaming services might cost more; however, feature wise, you can do more with other services like YT Music, Spotify - “ They’re more social, better recommendations, they enhance their apps more frequently” - something like worth but Deezer developers are very slow in adding extra features on their platform, increasing price plans could be a consideration to some users.

So far, I’m happy with Deezer, I know there are other platforms that does better, but I’m sure that deezer is catching up and have a business model plan to be better, specially with their new Cheif Executive, I’m sure he has better vision for the platform.

I think 2022 would be a big year for Deezer.

Cheers.

I completely agree with you. Specially since home office has been a great deal, I have been tempted to trying a switch over to YT Music now that I have been using my TV as primary device to hear music. It is true that the Deezer tv app could be a bit more neat and more responsive.

But on my phone I am just very happy with the interfaz, touch interactions and overall presentation. Since I am not that into the “HI-FI” experience it is a bummer that it “has” to be included in the prices. However, since I do pay a Family Plan it will be up to all my members to decide what happens next.

I have been with Deezer since 2019ish and have enjoyed the experience of using the mobile app. BUT cannot agree with the pricing if it means to pay for something I really do not want or need.

@PolC8 It’s especially bad when you don’t need it and they double or triple the price
