I have the same problem.

Deezer was working fine for the past few weeks but now it keeps popping up with this message even after I've changed my password and cleared all cookies and cache in Chrome (the only PC I have Deezer running on).

It's obviously a problem with Deezer.

Can I please have an ETA on when this will be resolved?

This is a prime example of why I despise cloud services (SaaSS / Service as a Software Substitute)!
Same thing happens to me. My music keeps stopping and I get the message that someone else is listening. The only two devices registered to my account are right in front of me and only one is connected to Deezer. I've changed my password, deleted and re downloaded the app and it continues to happen. I'm about 30 seconds away from cancelling my subscription.

thank a lot, I did it as you said, but it didnt work,
I'm having the same issue. I've reset my password. I've removed all other devices. But the message still appears. It started happening yesterday.

Hi @Gabi1122

You're receiving this message because music is being streamed at the same time on another device (you can only listen to music on one device at a time) using your account.

If you're not sure how this his happening look at your connected devices (read this link): - https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115004531965-Managing-Connected-Devices-

If that doesn't help then please change your password :)

Let us know how you get on 🙂

I’ve had weird experience this morning on iOS app 8.4.0.1.

i was listening to Flow. It stopped and displayed error “Your Deezer account is currently in listening mode on another device”. I can almost certainly say it wasn’t (unless my account is hacked). I did notice there was connection loss because soon after I saw my VPN reconnect. When I started playing again somehow it had switched to the album “Jazz City” by “Letress” which I’ve never heard of. I went back to Flow and soon after got the same error again.

It makes me wonder if my account is getting crossed-over with someone else’s account, and so my device was sync’ed with what someone else was playing.

I haven’t shared my account with anyone. I know which devices I have logged-in. Only 2 were switched-on (Apple Watch and iPad) and we’re on my person. They weren’t playing. The rest (Windows laptop, MacBook) were both off. Except I guess my Lenovo Smart Clock, but it is at home, no one is home, and I switched its microphone to mute before so left the house. In short, near-impossible it was playing on any other of my devices or anyone else’s.

I think I submitted the same in TestFlight (but can’t say for certain - no way to see submitted cases).

Hi @Dollbaby we are sorry to hear this is happening. I just unlinked all connected devices from your Deezer account and sent you a password renewal link to your email address. Please click on the link in the email and enter a new password.

I would advise you to carry out the following steps in order to protect all your online accounts, not only Deezer:

  • Regularly scan your systems for malicious software
  • Avoid using the same password email combination for all online services
  • Change your password regularly and make sure it is a strong password combination

Please let me know if you are still experiencing any further issues.

Hallo @Rudi

I changed my password, reinstalled the app and still works. well thank you.

Everything is working fine🙂

Hi @Yt2e

and you’re 100% sure nobody is using your account via the web etc. (as you can only listen to music on one device at a time)?

If you’re 100% - try logging out of your device, restarting it and logging back in.

if it still happens try changing your password as well.

Let us know how you get on.

Been listening to Deezer for a couple of years and this started today.
Nothing changed on my listening behavior.
Started this afternoon. Music stops and it tells me that the account is being used on another device.

Already uninstalled the desktop app. Shutdown the phone and changed the password.

I am trying to listen to music on the windows desktop player, but it keeps pausing saying music is being played on another device.

I tried changing my password, and deleting all connected devices and apps. But I keep getting the same error:

This has randomly been happening for months. But today, Deezer is basically unusable. I will have to cancel my account if this continues, as I like to listen to the music I pay for.

same problem. I have to be offline mode in order to listen a full song without interruption...
Hi there, if you have the same problem please make sure that all members of the Family account are logged into their profiles. If you all are in the master profile it will not allow you to listen to music at the same time.

HI @archrees & @dlle

OK try this: -

Please do the following in the exact order:-
make sure you're connected to a wifi network
uninstall Deezer
clean your phone's cache
remove the SD card (if you have one)
turn off your phone
turn on your phone
Restart your phone - reset your Deezer password: - https://www.deezer.com/password/reset
reinstall Deezer
open Deezer and download at least one album or playlist
reinsert the SD card (if you have one)

If it still happens contact support here with as much information as you can give them.

Good luck! :)

P.s. I'd change the way you log in so that it's via email (not facebook) - this can be done via the account settings page when you access it via a web browser (not the app).
Hi,
I Keep receiving the "Hmm.. Somme else must be listening..." even though i removed all possible linked devices and also changed my password.
I'm a subscription user which logs in using my email account .
Please advice

Yair

Have a nice day

Please change your password, reinstall any Deezer apps you've got and log in again, directly with email and password. If the problem persists, please get in touch with our customer support team.

Thanks a lot for your help, I did as you advised, so now I’ll keep my fingers crossed there will be no more trouble! :)

Hmmm..

Contact support here they will be able to look into this for you.

Give them as much information as you can (your account details, you phone details etc).
Even though I have only one page open, and no active device, I can not listen to music on my Deezer Premium, because I always get a notice that says: “Your Deezer account is currently being used on another device or page. Your account is strictly personal and cannot be used in multiple locations at the same time. Click below to resume play and pause all other devices.” Please help me solve this. Thank you.

I would suggest the following steps :

Go to Deezer.com and click on your profile image in the top right corner . Choose account settings and go to connected devices . Unlink the devices from there . Next reset your password using the link below :

https://www.deezer.com/password/reset

Try using your account as usual and see if the problem has been solved .

This mainly happens if you have third party apps connected to your deezer account.
