I stopped using the wiim mini because the Deezer API didn't work with it and they never got around to fixing it. Anyone know if they ever fixed it?
The Wiim mini Airplay 2 is the only budget hifi streamer on the market, meaning a lot of people use it. However, Deezer is unusable with the Wiim app because it constantly seems to log you out so you get random favorite artists and albums, and there’s no app support so you can’t use the Deezer app the same way you can the Spotify app. I will be switching to Tidal because there’s no indication Wiim is going to fix this bug. You are probably actively losing lots of memberships over this issue.
I'm deciding between an Onkyo and Yamaha receiver and the streaming interface may be the deciding factor. It sounds like maybe MusicCast is glitchy or not functional? Curious what people think.
I'm looking at the Onkyo TX-8270 but I know sometimes brands stop providing support for certain streaming services.
You have albums under 54-40, 54*40, and 54.40 all from the same band. It's 54-40, the pages need to be consolidated.
I use Deezer at work through the webplayer, and currently I connect the laptop to a Bluetooth speaker. Bluetooth limits the bitrate so I want to use my laptop's headphone jack and connect the laptop to the speaker using an aux cable. However I'm not sure how that works for decoding and whether I need a DAC and/or an amp. When I play Deezer through the webplayer does it decompresses the FLAC? And so if I run an aux cable directly between laptop and speaker am I getting the full 1411 kpbs to the speaker?
On Spotify, when you choose a radio based on a song or artist, you can see all the songs included in that mix. On Deezer it appears the next song just comes up. Is there a way to see what’s on the track mix?
I stream using a Wiim mini and the interface tells me the bitrate. Almost everything comes in around 900kbps. I haven't seen anything at 1411kbps. Are these files actually compressed?
We desperately need a list view option for viewing albums. It’s virtually impossible to peruse albums because it’s so slow and cumbersome.
