Deezer's scrobbling implementation is still one of the poorest I've seen, severely limited. No real-time scrobbling, then artists with ampersand in their names are not scrobbled properly, albums and song names with parentheses are not scrobbled correctly, etc. Using Deezer with their built-in scrobbling implementation will sooner or later mess up your last.fm library. Third party solutions are still the best:

Deezer web player + Web Scrobler browser extension works perfectly
Mobile app + Scroball app are a clean and elegant way to scrobble
OK, so to summarize: it seems that this issue was partially-solved. It works, BUT... only for some people, and only on the web player/desktop app. Android app still doesn't scrobble? I've grown quite comfortable with 3rd party solutions for scrobbling instead of the half-hearted official Deezer implementations. The only instance where I'd need this is in the desktop app. Is there any way to enable/disable scrobbling per app? (for example: off on webplayer, off on Android, on on desktop) Or is the toggle option global only?
V_Shaft except none of them seem to work with iOS devices.
Ah, OK, that's another story. I don't use any iOS devices, so I wouldn't know. Those on Android seem to be working fine.
Svo, you can use a 3rd party scrobbler for phone scrobbling. There are several of them, and they all seem to have better scrobbling implementation than Deezer natively had.
As commented above, Deezer has no partnership with Last FM, but Deezer and Last FM are in touch at the moment to see what it could be done ;)
Rafael, you just keep repeating "Deezer has no partnership with Last.fm" as if having no partnership somehow absolves Deezer from all responsibility towards this issue. Tens of other apps and sites and music players also have no partnership with Last.fm, and yet the implementation of Last.fm's scrobbling API works great in their products. And in Deezer, this was never properly implemented - tracks were being scrobbled at the end instead of when begin playing, they were scrobbled immediately instead of when played 50% or more, they where scrobbled with an occasional delay, etc. But at least it worked! Now, it doesn't. And since all other services who use the scrobbling feature still work, it's only logical to conclude Deezer messed something up. Yes, Deezer, on their end (partnership or not). Mist
Flo.Deezer Thanks, but... can you provide some more specific info? Is Last.fm doing something on their side about this issue? Or are we simply waiting, and hoping for the best?
An additional piece of info reported over at Last.fm forums regarding the same issue: scrobbling works from the Deezer web player, but ONLY when using the old skin, and with with the addition of the Web Scrobbler extension (for FF and Chromium-like browsers). If using this, perhaps it's best to unlink your Last.fm account from Deezer. At least I've done so.
Until this gets resolved, just wanted to share a manual way to keep your Last.fm library updated: Universal Scrobbler http://universalscrobbler.com/ I've been using the tool for years now, and it has never failed me. Used it all the time when I was listening through a dedicated player. Basically, it allows users to scrobble tracks/albums on demand by pulling the info from databases such as MusicBrainz or Discogs. You can also scrobble manually (single on in bulk). It's not an ideal solution, but still better than nothing.
It really irks me how Deezer staff always seems to treat this issue like an isolated problem, when obviously it is not. I've been using Last.fm since 2009, actively scrobbling all this time. I'm not a fiend for accuracy, I'm fine if my scrobbles appear a few hours later. But I do want to continue building my library: it's serves me as a historical reference point to my listening habits, as well as a quick reminder if I wanna find something that I've listened recently. The current state of the Deezer's Last.fm scrobbler makes this impossible and is unacceptable. Please, approach this issue with severity it deserves. Millions of people are using Last.fm's services, and having them constantly malfunctioning with Deezer is not a light issue. Web version, Win Store version, Desktop app (these on 2 different PCs), mobile... my scrobbles appear with a huge delay, if at all. Will they appear sometimes in the future, are they lost forever? I have been willin
