@coypu mentioned, some features take longer than others to be implemented depending on priorities. Apologies for the inconvenience and I hope I can provide any update in the short term. @Jaime. - What are the “priorities” as far as development is concerned? - we always get told when a feature isn’t possible, but how about telling us what you are actually working on? - some sort of roadmap for the development of the service would be good!
Thanks @Jaime. - is there a reason why you’re not developing a proper “connect” feature like Spotify? - for me it’s the missing piece of the jigsaw as far as Deezer is concerned, and many other users feel the same way as evidenced by the messages here.
@Leonídia.Deezer Why is this idea still marked as live?
Hi @cjp1959, thanks for your message. Unfortunately, it will not be implemented, at least not for now. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to let me know. OK - That’s clear.I guess this idea should not be marked “live” then.I feel you’re going to lose a lot of subscribers now that you’ve confirmed that you’re not interested to improve the service ikn this way.
You’re unlikely to get any updates on any new developments. There’s a massive wish list of active requests that have been ongoing for literally years, and nobody at Deezer is interested at all.I suggest taking your business elsewhere frankly. Deezer development is to all intents and purposes non-existent.
Hi @cjp1959, thanks for your message. In the past weeks, the response time on the post was delayed due to the festive season. You can check our article Period from December 22-January 2. Nevertheless, could you please share the link where you posted your question? It will be happy to help you. Hi Leonídia - I should direct you to this thread…This idea - still “live” was first posted six years ago!Despite this, there are still no answers or progress from Deezer at all. There have been multiple other suggestions which have been merged into this one, but all seem to disappear down a black hole with no reports on development, and not even a statement making it clear whether Deezer do or do not have any intention of introducing this feature. It’s such a shame - Deezer is my provider of choice, but the minute Spotify introduce HiFi quality I’ll be out of here - unless that is you provide some meaningful updates to the software/apps instead of pointless rebranding.Spotify has everything you c
Here’s an idea - start answering questions that people post!!!
This forum is a total waste of time. People submit ideas - some of them literally years old - and get no feedback whatsover from anyone at Deezer. It’s a simple question - is this idea ever going to get implemented?
@Johnathan.Deezer I understand about the voting thing, but the telling factor is that this idea is now 5 yerars old! There are also many other ‘idea’ threads basically asking for the same thing - it must be the most requested feature by far, so what’s being done about it??What is sadly missing is any sort of communication from the Deezer developers updating subscribers on what they’re working on, if these ideas are being worked on at all, timeframes etc. From a subscribers point of view it’s very frustrating to have no developer updates whatsover, and sort of makes the whole ‘ideas’ section of this forum pointless.Your comments would be appreciated.
Forgive me for asking, but what on earth is the point of “voting” for an idea when Deezer staff say that it’s being worked on?It seems that there are a huge number of requests for this functionality - the wishes of your customers are already crystal clear to you, so just get on and do it!
I have a Pioneer X-HM86D which has built in Deezer functionality which works very well, yet I still can’t get the same functionality as I can with Spotify Connect (i.e. hand over sound to the Pioneer). The newly launched “Deezer Connect” is a terrible misnomer, and offers me no new useful features at all. How hard can it be to emulate Spotify Connect (which is the perfect solution)?? Please sort this out!
Agreed - The Deezer Connect name is misleading. What literally everyone wants is the same functionality as Spotify Connect which is the leader.
Can’t see the point of this. Saw it was called “connect” and thought “aha - they’ve provided functionality like Spotify connect” - but actually they haven’t. I can’t see what benefit it is to me at all. I have a Pioneer streamer which has native Deezer connectivity, but I still can’t use the app on my phone to hand off to my streamer, or even control it in any way - pointless, unless I’m missing something?
