Hey @Jaime. do you have some news regarding this issue? Or just Chromecast integration in general, which is really poor compare to Spotify (for example)
Hello @Fabien Rayé !Do you have any news regarding the Chromecast ?Meanwhile, I have found another issue with the Chromecast : the "Recently played" playlist cannot be played at all on a Chromecast (I have tried with both the Android app and my browser on my laptop). Also regarding all the problems with the Chromecast, because Spotify is working way much better with it, could it be linked to the use of Spotify connect to control it? Hence requesting (from the cloud) the device to skip the song for example, instead of (I suppose you do it like that) manually controlling the Chromecast, and maybe sending all the command at once even though the device is still trying to process the first one?I do not know the way your app was made and so cannot really judge it as you might have good explanation for those problems, but I am getting more and more frustrated by the way you manage to delay and never solve such issues. The Chromecast has never worked well, the app is mostly slow (see this issue
Hi @dee_dirk and thank you for your answer.I have already tried to logout and then login again using my personal credentials on a non-admin profile, but I can still choose another profile and I am still asked to add an email and a password. And, concerning the admin account, I don't think it should be impacted as it should always have an “Admin right" and so an access to all profiles (I suppose). My issue only concerns profiles other than the administrator. Finally, I am not sure why I should contact the support, as I am on the latest beta version and I do not think this issue is normal. I think that connecting a family profile with your own credentials should make it act as an individual account, not just creating another credential to access the family account (with all profiles). If it is, maybe it should be changed as I do not think it makes any sense.
Moreover, having a complete and functional API for Deezer would lead to much more Deezer integrations. Making Deezer more popular and known, as you will see it “everywhere" just like Spotify. You can find a “Connect to Spotify" button to add some functionalities in a lot of apps (for example Philips Hue and Discord), which can also indirectly be seen as some disguised ads (looking to be upvoted by the marketing team here).
Thanks @Fabien Rayé !It's working way much better now!
@BigFKahuna It does work better when using the offline switch, however, it should not be necessary. Ideally, all cached/downloaded music should be shown directly, and not be retrieved from the cloud, even when connected to a network. But, if you are connected, it checks in the background for any update made to the playlist, or you can force the update to start immediately by pulling the list of music (just like a lot of apps on Android). But I do have to recognize that it's much better now than what it used to be (or maybe Deezer did nothing but the 4G coverage/speed is now much better). Also, I still have my playlist sometimes starting to play in reversed order, which makes the first song (when ordered in “Recently added first”) of the playlist played as the last, so after the song it will stop the playlist and then start again with the first (oldest) song added to the playlist. It has already been raised to Deezer but nothing has changed.
