The fact that this is still marked "not for now" is disgraceful and shows Deezer has no committment to retaining market share. Musiccast and wiim and I'm sure many others work poorly because they are programmed for integration with Deezer poorly and fixing it is not a priority for them. So the only solution is for a true Deezer connect where you can use the app instead of third party integrated software. @Yula
Deezer comment needs to be like Spotify connect so we can use the Deezer app instead of things like MusicCast.
I think Yamaha has to fix this, not Deezer.
MusicCast also doesn't allow you to launch track mix or show recommended track mixes. I've messaged Yamaha about it but doubt much comes of it.
@Yula Please, you really need to pass this one to the development team. It’s not a small issue. The Wiim app is the only budget streamer on the market and a high number of your users likely are switching to Tidal because of the lack of functionality, or are simply not signing up with Deezer. So Deezer is leaving money on the table by not looking into this issue. The issue is that the Wiim is having an issue with API integration and the best solution would be to do what Spotify does and simply have it so you can use the native Deezer app. Of all the bugs and issues your team is working on, this should honestly be a higher priority. Wiim has suggested they are looking into it but I doubt it is a high priority for them (and they keep dishonestly advertising that it works with Deezer despite this rather large bug).
I ended up DM-ing the artist. It doesn’t appear they followed up but whatever.
Yeah it was supposed to be fixed almost three weeks ago according to Wiim. I wouldn’t be so bothered if they hadn’t expressly stated it worked on Deezer. And I really don’t want to use Tidal because it’s missing so much music.
This can be deleted, I figured it out
I have a Toyota Rav4 and use android auto with an s20. It works fine
How do I report it to the music team? In this case it’s actually the same artist, it’s just that people keep using different symbols to separate the name.
Hey Jaime, I have the same issue. It’s clear that your mp3 upload is no longer functional.
I should also add this morning that I can’t even listen to anything because after a song or two the connection is lost. As noted, this is a widely reported issue here, on the Wiim forums, on reddit, and on audiosciencereview. This problem is a direct threat to your subscriber base given that the Wiim is the choice of hifi streamer for most people, being 1/5 the price of something like a bluesound node.
Anyone else having the problem where Wiim seems to keep disconnecting from the Deezer app and it gives you random favorite artists and albums? I have to log out and back in virtually every time I want to change an album. Might have to reluctantly use Tidal
I did get some feedback on another site that Wiim is reporting the uncompressed rate but the DCA chip is decompressing it. So it would seem the decompression is happening on the back end and it is reporting the compressed rate. This also tracks with the fact any mp3s I play show exactly 320 or 256.
So is the issue that my Wiim device isn't decompressing them and is instead playing the compressed version?
Lol a one time payment eh? How exactly do you think the artists would get paid under this system? Also don't they have like 90m tracks?
I was wondering the same thing and then figured it out. Whether on desktop or the app, you need to click on the album icon (the picture) and then it will start the mix. The featured song will always be first on the mix.
Blocking the artist isn’t enough. I would like a feature that deletes all knowledge of the artist’s existence from my brain so that it is like I’ve never heard of them. Ideally I would also get an electric shock if I ever inadvertently heard their song on the radio somewhere so that I know I shouldn’t be enjoying that particular song.
