The main hold up to getting a native gnu/linux app is that you don’t have the resources to code it right? Why don’t you take a leaf out of Spotify’s book, and make it more open source? The gnu/linux community thrive on doing these projects for the fun of it! The quickest way to a good clean working native app would be to involve the very community that you are currently alienating by consistently pushing the project back in favour of the ‘new’ features. At some point, as a software company, you have to make time for this project, if only to provide the very basic of customer care. Two years and no app is not just ignoring your customers, but actively snubbing them.
Thanks Flo, that's what I guessed.
By the way, same behaviour on my Samsung galaxy s2 tablet, so not device specific.

Not much to see, shuffle is on every time I play a playlist even after un checking shuffle. I have Deezer HIFI subscription, and I have seen that shuffle is default for free users, but shouldn't be default for premium. Is the HIFI subscription maybe not being seen as equivalent to premium? I have uninstalled the app, software updated my phone, all other applications are updated and I will have to re-download my playlists. What else can I do?
Any new playlist that I choose to listen to will be in shuffle mode when I press play (the blue button as mentioned by Flo), this does not happen when i select the first track of the playlist. As I expect to use the play button to play the playlist, and as it always starts in shuffle mode, I would consider this to be the default setting for the play button. If you are saying that pressing the blue play button should not start in shuffle mode, then would a reinstall fix? Cache clearing has had no effect to the app behaviour.
Yes, so the button to play the playlist starts it in shuffle mode. I already know this. So, what you are saying is that the default behavior of starting a playlist with the play button is in shuffle mode. So, again, I ask my question. Can this be changed? A simple yes or no will suffice, if not, can I suggest an option in settings to allow me to turn off this default behavior?
Read the question, I know I can untap the icon, the question is how to stop the app defaulting to shuffle so I don't have to keep uptapping the icon.
