Hi All,

Since yesterday when I launch the Deezer App downloaded from the windows 10 store it just opens up a blank form.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing but it does not solve the issue. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know a solution?

Many thanks,

Warren

Dear all,

As administrator said. Need to install software into the System Partition. Usually it's named as C: and marked with Windows 10 icon above. For some reasons Windows changed my preferred installation directory to another directory. After digging through google searches, I found how to find settings for this redirection. Windows Start menu > Settings > System > Storage. Will be options down below at section "More storage settings" with "Change where new content is saved". After changing back to C: directory the Deezer app started working again after re-installation. The structure how you see Windows settings menu is up to Windows current version. Hope it will help.

Quit in task mngr. Uninstall. Reinstall. Turn off AVG anti virus. Turn off system and back on.

Windows 10 home 64 bit. Updated.

App opens and then just sits there in grey. No deezer logo or login request.
Same for me. After the last update Deezer app hangs with a gray screen. I have tried all options provided by Windows 10, not is beneficial.

Hi @careyschulz @ollie powell @vehbi mac we are aware of this issue, we are still investigating I am afraid. Please bear with us until we find a solution.
I've had a look at the event viewer and there seems to be some problem with the "AppState" from the "AppModel" while installing it.

same problem here, please fix!! lost all my downloaded albums trying to uninstall/reinstall with no success 😞
£20 for hifi and cant even get it to load on a 6k pc .. what a waste of money !!

I just installed the new Windows 10 desktop app from the MS store on two of my other computers while my main one still has the standalone beta desktop app. During the installation process I had to confirm a message from the Windows Defender firewall that this new app is allowed to be used in private networks on both computers or otherwise it would be blocked. I guess if you have other firewalls and/or antivirus software installed, you have to allow Deezer the same in their settings or simply disable these firewalls during installation.

This new MS Store app replaces the old Windows 10 app, by the way, which is not developed any further or supported anymore.
im asking for a refund on my hifi account .. will go back to tidal .

Someone comment in another topic:

"The app started working after I moved it from D drive to C drive, where windows itself is installed.
If I try to move it away from C drive, where windows is located, it just shows a blank screen.""

I just has an email from suport comfirming this as i had it installed on Drive D and moved it and its working fine now . brilliant i can now listen in lossless !!
after using Deezer music for several years on my laptop. It suddenly disappeared from my screen. And after many times downloading it again all i get is a black screen en no music. now i have only deezer on my iphon.
please what can i do to fix this. my laptop is my only possibility for music in my house.
hey,

some of us need the app installed on D drive. It's stupid to use system SSD space to stock all the music...

Thanks to fix it soon...

Hi there, sorry about that. Please try to uninstall and reinstall the app for now. As a work around you can use the browser to listen to music. Let me know how it goes 😉

Hey Flo,
actually it goes bad, because in some setups like mine deezer is still useless... for almost one month now, and as programmer, i know how simple is to fix something like this. Please provide a date for the fix...

Hi there @gailorbot

We're unable to provide a specific date for the release of a new feature or fix, but our developers are working on it 😉
Hi, I could solve this blank screen issue by moving Deezer app from D : (1 TB HDD) (where the app was installed even if C drive is set as the default drive for apps) to C: (256 MB SSD) in Windows settings.

I hope it's true, it's been more than 2 months for me.
With my Hifi account i need to download those hd songs on my pc.

edit: i fixed it by moving it to my main drive but it's not the best solution. I don't want to fill my ssd with hd songs...
Hi guys, I was having the same problem, but I think I found a solution. Apparently the music is stored on the AppData/Roaming/Deezer folder of the Windows user, so you can either create a symbolic link to another drive, or move the entire Roaming folder (i did the second one, since my Roaming folder was actually quite big).

Hey man, thanks for that. Can you please details a bit the procedure ? I think I'll need to do that as deezer don't give a shit about breaking features and leaving their user two month without what they pay for...
I was also thinking of getting back on older version, but doesn't seem to be a way to do it with microsoft store apps ?
