I’d like to place a shortcut to Deezer on my desktop. To know that, I’ll need to find the Deezer .exe file.

I have done this with VLC playlist files. I have one for .wav and another for .flac. I then label them with a numbered prefix. Depending on which playlist I want to play, I clik the number on my remote control, which highlights the shortcut. I then press “enter” to play it.

I would like to be able to do the same with Deezer.

Hi @dgoorevitch

You will most likely have installed the version from the Microsoft Store. There is no EXE file there.
You have the following option: Completely uninstall the MS Store version and install the version from the Deezer site. After that you will find the deezer.exe.

Thanks but I installed the desktop app from the Deezer site.I did that before installing the phone app. But I’ll try it anyway. I’m curious why the MS store version has no exe file. YOu’re tight! I DID install it from MS. Interesting

That is interesting. Actually, the store with the link shouldn't open at all. I did the same thing yesterday on a Windows computer.

There is a more direct link:

It worked! I found the exe file in roaming appdata, made a shortcut and put it on the desktop, changed the name to 2_Deezer and now I can press 2 on my wndows remote to highlight the link, and press enter to open it and start listening without having to come to a keyboard. Thanks.
