Volume banner in deezer desktop app

When I change the volume on my windows 10 pc a Deezer banner appears in the top left corner of the screen. How do I remove this?

This happens while using the Deezer desktop application.

I understand its usefulness but there should be a way to turn it off. It can be quite obnoxious for users.

Bumping this!

I switched from Google Play Music (because they stopped their services) to Spotify. They didn’t had all features that I liked at Google so I switched to Deezer and except for this annoying windows media overlay problem I am really satisfied with Deezer.

Is there any update on disabling it?

Why does it almost take a year to add an option to disable the banner? Come on. What the use of the deezer app when that huge annoying banner fills my screen? I just use the site now since that works at the moment.

So instead of saying you noted the feedback (3 times), just do what we ask instead of making empty promises. I hate the banner in every way and just want an option to remove it, so make a change please! We have waited way too long now.

Hi,

I would love this option too because this overlay is really annoying.

Thanks

Hi there! Some people reported the same and we have already passed the feedback on to our devs 🙂

Spotify fixed this ages ago; https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/Windows-10-Left-corner-song-banner-pause-stop-FIX-IT/td-p/1480262 and looks like there is no way to disable this in windows itself (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-do-i-turn-off-the-pop-up-music-banner/1088c82d-d751-42e0-a08d-c8efc195a50b).
Not meaning to be rude but Spotif* had this solved ages ago 😛 😛 In the display options, you could turn of the setting "Show desktop overlay when using media keys", to reduce the volume banner.
However I could not find this setting in Deezer, nor in the generals Windows 10 setting. Until @Rafael. and Deezer staff figure this out, one suggestion to you @Timelordz would be to reduce the time of Windows notifications to the minimum (5 sec) in the general Windows setting: Ease of access > Display.

So it’s been three years! Pretty sure it’s not that difficult to implement or even at this point steal a line of code from another music app that did it better, so that this issue y’all have ignored can get actually addressed! When are we fixing the app?

Hii Deezer,

Any update?

Thanks

ok cool someone else has dev’d a nice little app making better windows flyout thing...
made a quick trashy video demoing it;

you can also find it on windows store thing…”Modern Flyouts”
https://github.com/ModernFlyouts-Community/ModernFlyouts

you can remove it completely when you play/pause and change volume if you couldn’t cba to watch the demo, just go through the setting or watch the demo vid...enjoy

Is there an update on this? The banner is extremely annoying.

Thanks for sharing your solution. I downloaded the “Modern Flyouts” in Windows Store and i’m satisfied with the result. However it’s a shame that Deezer still don’t give us this option.

Hi there @Matthias.Staessens

We've got plans to improve the desktop app this year so I hope we can work something out with Windows to give you the option to switch it off. I'll pass on your feedback to reignite the discussion

I have this problem as well 🤷‍♂️

As described  above, just came from spotify where i could have just cancel this feature and forget about it, where now it got stuck in the middle of the screen.

Hope it will be solved soon!

I’m looking for a solution too, hope we can get one soon.

Any update? It's been half a year since the OP. It would be really good if this got bumped up the priority list, that desktop overlay is a real hindrance as far as I'm concerned.

Hi Deezer developers,

Any update on removing this annoying banner?

Thanks

Please,
When will the desktop overlay be removed?

I'm confident it'll be sorted this year @elrohir :fingers_crossed_tone2:

And I'm following up all the progress around our desktop app - which will be getting extensive work on to improve. Stay tuned and bear with us on this!

Is there a time estimate for this?

The Desktop Notifications toggle doesn’t work. Windows Media Overlay is still showing in Windows 10, no matter if it’s on or off.

Hi!
Any update? It has been already for 4 moths from first issue about this.
And why this topic marked as "Solved"?

Just bumping to say I too want this feature in the desktop app still, please keep the dev team notified @Rudi , Thank you!

Hi @Lucas Duperier could you share with us a video with a step by step just to see if I got it right.

I will reach out our developers with that in hands.
