Same here, I found out that data for deezer is unlimited on my data plan - great I thought, that would be perfect in the car.
So I signed up for a trial but its totally useless in the car, all I get is "error failed to play" and now reading this, I find its because voice input isn't supported, so why the mic button?

Is there any real eta for when the feature will be ready? - I see this thread has been going for 7 months already...

HI there, unfortunately we don't have an ETA at all at the moment 😞 We're waiting for updates from the team and will let you know as soon as we know more

I'm absolutely flabbergasted that I can't use Deezer on Android Auto without a premium account.

I gave up on paying for my Deezer+ as one of the features I most use is the Android Auto interface and clearly it doesn't work as it should as seen on this thread.

Being a curious person I wanted to check how does the AA interface work on a free account. Deezer managed to play a few songs, a couple of adverts and then all of a sudden it stopped playing and just gives me a notification that I can't use the feature without a premium account!!

Moral of the story: Deezer wants my money to provide me a service that's not even half implemented!

Hey @Anja , is there anything new about this topic?
We are still waiting (8 month now) for voice control on Android Auto.
Are you planning to implement this at some point?

We don't have any news yet. These kind of implementations take time as it envolves other companies like Google/Android in the project.
I'm sorry for the waiting, we will keep passing the feedback on to our devs! 😉
My guess is that Deezer is being squeezed out by google.
It seems like there is no "perfect" music app for me. I absolutely love Deezer's ability to guess at the music I like, but I've had loads of problems with the app failing to load music, and of course, the implementation with android auto is not available.
I'll keep bouncing around with all the different services until one of them works how I want.

I just wanted to point out that the possibility exists that Deezer does want to implement this feature, but Google is dragging their heels because they may loose market share.
Count another one waiting for this feature. It is a buy stopper for me.

Knowing that the voice search works in Google Home, I am surprised it doesn't in Auto. Are the interfaces that different?

Same here at me. I'm very disappointed. It's a big security problem. Mainly I wanted to use Deezer for my car. But it's absolutely useless for this. Unfortunately with Spotify there are no problems and it's working fine. Unfortunately I don't like Spotify resp. the app.

So, Deezer Team , please solve this fast because you are going to loose all the car users.

Hey Anja, that's very nice to hear, but what's your definition of "very soon"? Within a month, within 3, 6,...?

We don't have an ETA yet, but I can confirm they are working on it! 😉
Not take too long??
It's been over 10 months since this thread was raised and all the competitors, again ALL THE COMPETITORS have it working smoothly.

Hi Ole, I understand that his is frustrating, but I'm afraid it takes longer than expected. The team had investigated problems and opportunities for improvement and we will release a better solution, but we don't have an ETA at the moment.

Hi, is it already solved with the resent update?

I'm sorry, but we still don't have an update on it... 😕
Update:

Still not working, too bad I didn't read this before going premium, should've tried it before, well, let's hope it is launched soon, I like deezer more than spotify, but if cannot use it well in my car, I'll have to choose another service 😞
Is there a ETA? I pay for a good working Deezer and that isn't. Please hurry with the Google car service.

My deezer subscription is finished and it is likely that I will change the product.

1 year ago without solutions.

My subscription already finished 3 month ago. Really sad development. No answers.
That's not the kind of future I'm expecting.
