My sonos speakers have been working flawlessly with deezer up until this week or so. Now i have every song skipping after about a minute or so of play, regardless of it being flow or from a playlist. Sonos app just says "lost connection to deezer"

Update. So my issue of skipping only seemed to occure when I requested Alexa to play the music in the dining room via my Sonos beam in the lounge. Called Sonos and they advised to go to my Alexa app. Go to the skills section. Disaasiate the deezer skill. Leave for 30 seconds or so. Then re learn the deezer skill. This, for some reason, seems to have solved my issue.

Hi there @Matty @Stephandrew22 @RussE @ZooropaMan @Damo1 @kfoisy @ThugBunny

As you can see from a previous post, it's not just our platform which is having issues with Sonos systems. Our developers are working on it since this was initially reported 🤞🏼it's very frustrating, I'm really sorry you're all experiencing this.

In order to help things out, could you please tell me which internet provider you use?
Also, if the songs are skipping, does it happen every time a specific track is chosen? Or is it random?

If you give me more information this can speedup the time it takes for our developers to find a solution ;)

My ISP = Sky
Skips virtually every track, regardless of album, playlist, etc. Deezer is unusable!
For people having this problem with a decent sized Sonos system, the high bit rate provided by Deezer may be overloading the Sonos wireless signals. I had this problem. When I restricted playback to either a single set of speakers or only to wired speakers, the problem quickly went away.

With my system, there were several rooms running wirelessly (i.e. no wired connection)...In a couple of the rooms, I had access to wired connection, but never deemed them necessary (since I never had playback issues with other services). Once I wired them and reduced the total number of speakers running wirelessly, all was good!

I’m having this issue on all my Echo devices here in the UK. It will play part of a track then skip. Is there still no known fix for this?

Hi there @Debl@Toonius@MattS@Bertram.Nicolas

Before we're able to establish what is causing the issue, please try the following:

Making sure Sonos recognises your Deezer subscription

  • Log out from Deezer on all your current devices (mobile, desktop, browser, etc)
  • Request a new password here
  • Create a new password and keep it safe
  • Turn your Sonos off for a minute to allow it to re-cycle
  • Turn your Sonos back on, enter your new Deezer details and you should have full access
Let me know how it goes ;)

Just did it. Used the windows app to change password, opened my phone app to see if it would register that it needed a new password (which it did).
Had my sonos speekers off for at least 4 full minutes before i turned them on again, and then i went in the sonos app, removed the Deezer account completely and added it from scratch.
Put on a playlist that i know for a fact has worked prior to this issue, and that has been skipping almost 100% of the songs.
Song 1 played through.
2 skipped.
3 played through.
4 skipped (barely 20 seconds in to the song).
5 almost made it through, but skipped about 1 minute before the end.
6 played.

Whilst it is slightly better, we are still talking pretty danm abbysmal for something i'm paying for and there is a clear competitor 😕
@Rudi - no further problems as of about 9 hours ago in Australia
Have Deezer hi fi. Song starts and stops in 5 seconds or so and tries next song. Error says network speed too slow for buffer. Spotty and pandora work fine. Tried reloading app, reauthorize sinus etc. Deezer worked perfect last year. Just started subscription again and no saved playlist or songs work. Nor do new songs trying to play from Deezer. Ready to cancel.
Same problem as above.
No full songs playing on Sonos via Deezer.
All other services on Sonos working fine.
Thus, must be Deezer.
How long do you think it's going to be out?
I need my music! 😳

Unfortunately, poor communication and lack of updates means it may be time to switch to a competitor. No point paying for a service I’m not getting ☹️
Exactly same issue for me. Won’t play a full song through Deezer. Really really frustrating. Hope this gets sorted soon
Same problem here. Sonos One with Alexa. Some songs play through, others play to some point and then jump to next song. Wasted hours troubleshooting network before finding this list forum of other people with same problem. Wish Deezer could have alerted me to a potential problem and saved me all the wasted time. Love Deezer but not for long if this doesn’t get sorted out soon.
This is still happening for me. Listening to Deezer via my Sonos and the songs just end before they should and the next one starts. Same thing over and over again. Very disappointing.
Hi. I am a Virgin media customer. Last few days same issue as many others. Tracks skipping mid song. I have a sonos beam with a sonos connect in another room. Whilst listening to the music via the connect my iPhone app suddenly says 'unable to connect to deezer' There is more to that message but it disappears so fast. I then hear the next track so I know I am connected. Plus it worked fine from November to mid January. Please assist. I have an amazon account and I will see if I get same issues.

Is this the problem you are all having? It’s extremely frustrating!

So I have progressed with my music skipping issue. I have a Sonos Beam in my living room. I instruct Alexa to play music in the dining room where I have a Sonos connect and my old audio system. The music from Deezer begins. It is skipping regular. So, whilst in the dining room, I start the Sonos app on my iPhone. I then get the message appear on the app 'unable to play set fire to the rain the connection to cdnt proxy d.dzcdn.net was lost '. The music skips, next track begins and so it goes on with message appearing.
Now at this time I search on the app for Adele/or whatever and the interupt the playlist playing music selected on the phone . From then on the music does not skip. If you can assist as to why this is occurring I would be grateful. Incidentally my router is in an upstairs room and all wireless.
Hey @jon.spinks

It might not be an ISP issue but this info could narrow it down - our developers have asked for it and the more info we get, the better we can act.

I'm currently using Start.ca if that helps? Amazon Music and Slacker radio play fine. It's just Deezer having issues right now for me.
Hi Rudi, my internet provider is sky. Problem is random. I can play a track and it can skip at any time during the track and I can restart the same track and it can skip st a different point or play right through. It is fairly frequent though. Not many tracks play without skipping.
Hi

I am experiencing the same issue, and I am with Sky as well.
Still have the problem not fixed. Getting very frustrated now!
Restarted system. Still skipping tracks!!! Problem not fixed. 😕

We are with Rogers internet (Canada) and the first track seems to play fine with any flow/playlist but any song after starts to skip. Stephanie
Happens on every track. My internet provider is Plusnet.

Hi there @Djskinner @Cbee

Stay tuned here for updates! We're working on it.

Rudi, just to let you know that everything is working this morning. Start.ca internet in Canada around 10am Eastern Time. I'm not getting any skips, hopefully the Deezer devs have found a fix for this issue.

Appreciate the quick responses.

I haven’t checked it yet but Sonos have just notified me that the “Deezer outage has been resolved”.
