Why do i get this message when i have played for some time ?

 

If thats standard i dont want to use Deezer anymore

I dont think deezee will ever get any better. This problem has been since deezer came out(looking at old posts) last complain i looked at was 3 yrs ago. Thats crazy, that deezer is not doing anything about it.  It means that we cant find new songs. And even then, when I reach that 150 limit, I cant even listen to my own tracks.  And the worst ting about it all is as I saw in another tread from one of you admins, is that if we move the forward or backward slider(not skipping song) even then it counts as a skip.  That is totally braindead. Not trying to be any kind of rude here, but it is like deezer trying to lose customers. 

At least you are honest.

I walk few miles and ask their community manager to reach developers responsible for this.

At Deezer, they have limited resources, and what’s that? The Deezer is not giant like some other names in the scene. They need to prioritise and all I can say this year 2021 company with a name Deezer will try their best removing bugs from their apps. I think eventually these limits will pass.

During next month or two they will increase Liked tracks limit. I don’t see any reason for them not increasing skip limit. I listen music for hours on Deezer, and honestly so far didn’t receive it. Perhaps I didn’t skip much. I truly understand your concerns about a company not caring about you.

But all I can say they do care, and I will let managers know about this issue as we speak.

Thanks for reaching out.

In what device and app is this happening? Is it because you're skipping tracks?

Iam playing from a Sony Ericsson XA2 with Bluos app to a Bluesound Node 1

And yes its when iam skipping tracks. Sometimes i skip 20 times before i find a number i want to hear, but when i skip between 5 and 15 times i get that message

Could this be cache related?  Don't forget if you're skipping through, Deezer is trying to pull the data from the sever. Too many skipped tracks are resulting in bits of data packets being discarded. I'd suggest that this may be unavoidable given the way you're using Deezer (not a criticism, I've done the same).

It can be some DoS protection in server. Too many request in short time, so server denies your connection.

Its working fine now, bit iam not skipping så often now.

But when i get that message, i have to wait up til an hour before i can hear music again.

sometimes it helps to log in to deezer on the PC and log out again

Yes, we currently have a 150 skips per hour limit, to prevent issues like @DrEvil mentioned, for example. Fingers crossed you can skip a bit less to help us out with the integration until we can make it better (on the plans) :fingers_crossed_tone2:

Thanks for being honest again, I totally get you. I've been here for a few years myself.

I've seen a lot of improvement in different areas.

This year? Our team got together and said: Ok, enough with the integrations' issues and bugs, look at our Android app, etc. It's major work, that will take time, but essential for us to continue our stance as a streaming service.

So I invite you, genuinely and despite if you move to another service, to stay tuned to our community and see the improvements getting done this year. I say this because I care about you as an individual and not a number. I know you'll come back to me and say: You're right, Deezer is much better now and I can't find many faults.

Its a big dilemma for me, bec I really dont want to use tidal.  In fact i hate tidal and its coloured sound, but not being able to find new songs with deezer is a big dealbreaker.  I have this problem everyday with deezer.  Just wanna sit back and skip thru songs and find me some new ones i can add to my libary.   But within 30 min or so it stops and I cant play nothing.  This problem should not even be a topic.  As far as I know, no other streaming services has this limit, and it will be one of the problems that causes deezer to die out.  Charging 15$ a month and not be able to skip songs is just (got no words)   for one month now I tought is was something wrong with my new bluesound node 2i bec of this issue.   I will be a customer foe life if they fix this issue.

As far as I know this irritating limit is only on some devices.

If you are using Deezer with phone or laptop, there is no limits. Yesterday I skipped 169 times in FLOW on my laptop using Web App and it didn’t block me from listening. I think their systems needs some improvement regards streaming on devices like Bluesound Node. I hope you can one day be Deezer customer for a life, that’s actually reason number one for them to continue improving.

They really need customers like you.

I have already canceled my Deezer subscription and am using Tidal now, the sound I do not think there is a difference but it is really a relief not to be limited in terms of switching between tracks

I think what Thomas is saying is true to some degree. There are many treads in here with issues like this that are wery old. And nothing being done about it, sadly.   For the skipping part, im using my phone, but as a remote for the bluesound.   If people are using just the phone, that means they are just listening thru headphones or in the car? Wich really im my opinion is useless for using deezer.  People most who uses services like deezer, tidal etc play at home from laptop and dedicated streaming units, and then if it works fine thru just the phone alone, whats the point of the service?  We want cd quality for our expensive hifi equipment.  I cant really see the big hassle with just remove the skip limit or atleast up the number of skips.  The problem alone is not the skip part, but when we move the forward or back slider it counts as skips to.  When im writing this, I realise im talking to myself here, its no point explaining, bec no changes will be done..    bye for now deezer, call me when you are working properly..

I can actually give you several examples of "old topics" that were developed by our teams :relaxed: it's just that our community is tooooo good! We've got feedback here from several and several years ago, when Deezer was very fresh and new on the market. We're NOW moving into a more consolidated streaming platform (see here) and this year we're tackling connectivity, in general. It's a massive boost for any Deezer fan who has been waiting for these improvements.

And there's more to come!

Once our SDKs get sorted and improved this year, our integrations will be unbeatable! You'll come back in a flash! :wink:

The devs act like its rocket science to fix the skip issues,  But in reality,  "Mike and "tom" who works with deezer could fix this thing in a couple of ours!   Plz give me one good reason this problem cant just be fixed for example tomorrow?😉    i switched to tidal today, and holy, I can finally find some mew music again.  This year this, this year that, deezer loosing ppl right now.

If it was rocket-science, we'd be building rockets, not a music app! :grin:

In simpler words, the integrations are made using, let's say, a special Deezer player. This player hasn't been updated in a while, for when the skip limit worked as a safety measure, to ensure good performance.

We won't just work on the limit, but the player as a whole. That way, everything else gets a brand new part. More Deezer features, improved stability, increased performance, etc.

You're genuinely asking Deezer to replace the wheels, while we want to build a whole car from scratch.
