Problems with Web player on Chrome

For a past few days I am experiencing occasional problems with web player. After it's been playing for a while, I can't skip trough the song. When I move the timeline bar, it stops playing and play button is not responding either. I need to refresh the page in order to start playing again. I have cleared my browser cache.

Otherwise I love your project, keep up the good work!

Have a nice day

Hi there, sorry for the very late reply. Since you have posted in the ideas forum we did not see your entry earlier.

Are you still having this issue?

Yes, I do. 🙂 It only seems to happen in Chrome in HTML5 player. I have a strong suspicion, that if you move the timeline of the song past the point, that the song has already been pre-cached/buffered, the player freezes. Skipping to next song, probably because player is reloaded solves the otherwise unresponsive player. Interestingly enough, there seem to be no error in developer tools console in chrome, but since I can repeat the scenario every time, by fast forwarding just after song starts playing, I do strongly believe it has something to do with song buffer.

Having the same problem in Chrome and the desktop app (Win 10). Seeking doesn't work most of the time. HTML5 player.

Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: The play() request was interrupted by a new load request. player-HTML5Renderer.ee779594033c5e9d5838.js:1

@tpavlin your guess sounds very reasonable - I'll happily forward this to our developers :)

@Marcus Schweda about the desktop app: try increasing the cache under settings>>account settings>>app preferences>>Smartcache 🙂
Is still happening to me. I will check for the error in the log when happen next time.
I am having the exact same problem. I recently downloaded Deezer Hi-Fi trial and was willing to pay for the service after the trial as I want to stream Lossless to my NAD amp. Unfortunately, neither Chromecast or Spotify Connect are available on the Deezer Desktop App...Chromecast is only available on the Web Player App - which as stated does not work well with all the buffering going on. I have VERY high Internet speed with well over 100MBS. But with it not working properly, this is a non-starter. My trial is due to end shortly. Unless Deezer can fix this issue and/or provide the desktop app with the Chromecast and/or Spotify Connect capability for streaming Hi-Fi, I will unfortunately be cancelling my account.

Hi @EvergreenNow

The Hi-Fi subscription only works via our Desktop App.
Chromecast only works with your browser, which needs to be up-to-date.
thank you for your response. My Chromecast and Flash are up to date, but the buffering issue and not being able to drag forward the music to a slightly forward place is still a problem. I have verified that I have 110Kbps internet speed. Any other suggestions? I have read your troubleshooting section.

Are you planning to have Chromecast on the Desktop app?

Hi @EvergreenNow have you tried to clear the cache of your browser? We were not able to reproduce this.
