Parrot smart head unit 'no network' issue


Hi all
I have been using Deezer to stream my music through my parrot smart Deezer app.
A couple off weeks ago I noticed some songs didn't stream as they once did...the same songs were available through my phone ( Samsung s8)
No big deal..
Then on the weekend I now cannot access any of my music/pod cast/etc
I tried logging in...no network
I have tried in install and remove install...no success.
I do have internet as I can access Google and other apps that requires network access...

Any ideas...

I hope that Deezer has not stopped support for the smart..m

I have just tried Deezer on the parrot smart and it loaded...
No more "no network" issues...
Has anybody else had this Issue resolved

Could you please provide a screenshot of the error? Also, could you please specify which app was reinstalled?

I reinstalled Deezer app

Could you perhaps try resetting the Parrot device to its factory settings? Give it a go and let me know 😉

Forgive the delay...
A factory reset is a pain...
So I have NOW done the factory reset
Still have the same issue...
No network
I have downloaded my other apps and all else is fine..IE I have network on these apps

I cancelled Spotify due to the lack of support..with the parrot
Might have to do the same with Deezer unless we can find a solution

Hi @roobrother sorry about that. At the moment we do not have any other user reporting this problem. We are happy to pass it on, but it can take a while to get to the bottom of it. When did this start happening?

About a week ago...I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app
I did notice about a month ago some songs greyed out while those same songs worked perfectly via my Samsung s8
Have u updated this app on the parrot Market?
Could it be that I need the
Premium+ Deezer subscription.
Currently I have family
Can supply me a temporary username and password that U knows works...if possible

I have the same problem. It started with inability to verify license accompanied by greyed out playlists that have not been downloaded to my Parrot device. When I reinstalled the app from Asteroid market I was not able to login into app anymore ("No network" error). I have no problems with wifi tethering, I've checked that. To me it looks like this outdated Deezer app is trying to connect to some blocked Deezer gateway. The best thing to do here is to use some packet capture utility on Parrot device or mobile phone to catch IP address. Worth to investigate to me.

It seems I should clarify here for community members. Unfortunately Parrot has limited the number of audio apps that could benefit from Parrot's audio engine enhancements (like Superbass, Loudness and so on), and those effects are really stunning. Sideloaded apps, as well as Deezer app not from Asteroid market, will be surely more recent and will surely (should be checked also though) work fine but we'll lose those FX I've mentioned above, so we have to stick to Astroid market app source and use those outdated apps. AFAIK one could also fix this by rooting the device and manually editing the FX-enabled apps list, but it's not an easy nor the right way to me.

Hey Deezer, I am also having this dreaded "no network" issue on my parrot asteroid smart device.

Very frustrating.

Might have to unsubscribe if this doesn't get resolved.
sadly I am not alone in this issue


All I ask ...."Is Deezer still supporting Parrot Smart"
If yes..I will persist with my subscription until resolution
If no ...I will have to cancel

I am also experiencing the same issues being reported in this thread. Your help in resolving it wound be great. It would be pointless in continuing with the subscription if we are unable to stream music in our cars.

This issue, for me, is now been going on for a month...
I would, and I'm sure others would appreciate if you could update us on where the Deezer development department are up to on this matter...not just "looking" into it
Is this a high priority for them or not.
