Make Deezer work well with chromecast

Chromecasts are really popular with 10s of millions sold.
Unfortunately Deezer is at the bottom of the pack in terms of using it's service with this device.
Years on (and multiple cancellations from me)
  • No shuffle once casting
  • No queue features such as reorder or play next
  • Unreliable casting, will suddenly stop after a track for no apparent reason
  • Will also forget its casting and get so confused you have to reconnect and disconnect multiple times for it to get the message!
It's been way too long, how difficult is this to get sorted. Back in 2015 this was on the radar, maybe before.

Please dev team, if it needs you to hire a chromecast expert for a couple of months do it! You have a great product, the best user interface, yet this really lets the side down.

Hi there, sorry for the late reply. We are always working on Chromecast. I have moved your topic to Troubleshooting and Tips forum as these are aspects that need to be fixed rather than new ideas. I hope that's alright with you.

Please let us know if you are still experiencing problems with Chromecast.

Hi there, we don't have any ETA for any of the points you mentioned, but we are working on a better solution for Chromecast in general. And we'll let you know as soon as we have more details.
There are two ideas suggested for queue management while casting. Please vote on the ideas.
Admins: please merge these two, and help the dev team prioritize the issues.

This feature is an absolute must for deezer to continue being listed as an explicit Google home service in the Google home app.

I would expect nothing less than the same standards of any app with the prestige to be listed by name on the Google home app.

As a software development professional myself, I highly suggest both the severity and priority of these bugs are raised to show stopping status because customers will not buy a half supported product for their smart homes! .
