I had to reinstall windows, and lost my install .exe, tried using the win10 version but it freezes randomly when using media keys, blocking me from alt tabbing at all. Before there were no issues, I just wanna use the app normally again 😕

Every download button I press redirects me to the windows 10 store page. Oh well...

I managed to find the installer on a different pc, so I fixed the issue. Still sucks you can't choose between the win10store version and the regular one.
Hey, jazz_massive! Can you share Deezer exe installer? My Windows 10 is not up to date to download Deezer application from the Store so I'm looking for other ways to install the app on my PC.

Change user agent of browser to windows NT 6.1. Deezer will detect windows 10 as windows 7 and it will give u the download of the .exe file instead of the store version
@Hisham.Shaban worked!!! linked guide to do this. https://www.maketecheasier.com/change-user-agents-chrome-firefox-edge/

I set chrome to user agent: Internet Explorer 7 and it worked. Don't for get you have to used the

How to change the user agent in Chrome

Just as with Edge, Chrome has a user agent change within the developer settings, although it is a lot more complicated to access.
Open the browser and click on the menu button on the top-right corner. From there click “More Tools” and then “Developer Tools.” You can also easily access this via the key combination of Ctrl + Shift +I.
As the developer tools windows pops up, select Network, then select the menu, which will look like three vertical dots. On this dropdown menu, choose more tools and Network Conditions. As you can see below, there will be an option to change the user agent by unticking the “Select automatically” box.

once you get that done go to this page in the same tab you did the user agent. It will only work in the tab you did it in.

I am sitting here on a new pc and was painfully reminded that the only way to get the Deezer desktop app is by downloading it through the cancer that is the windows store. I doubt that anyone who is at least somehow able to do more than use the on/off-button on a pc and a mouse and a keyboard is keen on using this store.

What is wrong the a clean and nice installer, archive or even just an exe that every other company uses? Thinking about it Deezer is the only Software I ever had to install through the Microsoft store.

I support this. Clean installer is so much better than that cancer store that doesn’t work without the drivers that I need to shut off to prevent windows updates (cancerous)

Hello @ivankonanykhin, thank you for your feedback, we’ll forward it to our teams. You can get it directly from the link shared by Rudi just above for now, without going through the Microsoft Store.

Have a nice weekend!

Hi Kevin, as someone who recently joined Deezer (moving away from Spotify due to lack of upload-your-own-files feature) I’d appreciate if the non-Microsoft Store option was more prominently featured on the download page (not a a fan of the auto-redirect based on user-agent). I really hope you’re not relying on people finding this specific thread to obtain a non-Microsoft Store release!

I for example want (native) Deezer on my work laptop, and despite having the ability to install whatever I want on it (in terms of downloadable exe’s), the Microsoft Store is locked down and has only about two dozen whitelisted apps (just corporate ones, with Deezer obviously not being one of them) so I can’t install it at all from there. If you could please relay this back to the dev team to strengthen the case for not relying on the Microsoft Store as the only distribution method I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I will do just that and get back to you once I have an answer from them.

Have a nice day!
