Thank you so much for your feedback @Darlig I totally get where you're coming from!

That's why we've been on working on these things for months already. It takes time to get these things over the line and you're right about how timing is important here :thumbsup_tone2:

Literally folks. There has always been a problem to integrate Deezer with almost anything, except for Chromecast connect, and that’s not even an option in the market no longer.

Spotify HD would arrive faster than integration of Deezer with Roon/Linux? The sound of Deezer is awesome, I really like it guys, but we’ve been clinging to love for sound at the short end of the stick for plasticity for a long while now.

Spotify HD is creeping up, and you’re in for a huge loss of customer base if these shortcomings do not come early enough for people to migrate to service with a quality alike, but having a much better connectivity platform.

Not to mention the outrageously pop based curatorial work that had been implemented during the last year, which is a waste of good quality audio. Anyhow, cheers! I have been waiting for this over 2 years now. Patience is running low with over services creeping up.

Thanks a lot for your honest feedback and for your support @Ron NY we really appreciate it.

We're also aware of our shortcomings but we're doing our best on what we can do to get there for you, please bear with us :pray_tone2:

For those wondering, the workaround for Windows/android is using windows remote desktop. You can use the phone as a remote and play deezer from the desktop app of your Pc.

I really hope that soon I can get rid of my pc connected to my DAC which runs Volumio.

2nd solution is to use a tv deezer app.

But it's such a waste of energy to run multiple devices...

Like I mentioned above, in order to support this and other integrations, we're updating our SDKs this year. It's hard work and it'll take time, but that's the first step before we can say yes or no. There are equally or more exciting partnerships waiting for this too, like Roon, for example. So our devs have rolled their sleeves up and have started working on the foundation and on our player :thumbsup_tone2:

Hi,

4 months later: any news?

By the way, new generations of music listeners won't need Roon. I performed the same exercise couple of weeks ago, checking what I need to listen to digital music in a comfortable way.

The easiest way has always been to use my phone and send something over Bluetooth to my hifi. Unfortunately the quality loss is significant. But that's how the kids grow up and it remains very very easy. I don't see those youngsters going for expensive Roon, nor do I, if you don't have any physical media or music stored on Nas etc.

As a result I only have my Deezer account, no Roon, but I need shitty workarounds to listen from your service because you are the only service not able to provide an integrated solution.

The only thing which makes me stay with Deezer is the family account. I won't force everybody to change habits, for now....

Sorry for the negative feedback, but you're lucky that I don't take the family hifi offer from tidal because I don't like their bullshit Mqa strategy...otherwise it would be bye bye.

Hi, Same here, impatient to have a volumio plugin for deezer ! :-)

Hope we will have news soon !

Thanks

but once it's done

the thread from the Volumio board (with the request for Deezer support in Volumio) is from September 2017. We have been waiting for so long. Is there no way to accelerate the cooperation?

Thanks a lot @ivan.jeremic

We're currently in the process of updating our SDKs so it isn't the time to start a new partnership - but once it's done (this year) we'll be looking into exploring this possibility. You've got so many good points when it comes to userbase and we don't want to miss out - but there's room for improvement on our SDKs at the moment and we're currently making it better.

If you could add this link to Volumio's support in the meantime, that could be useful.

I have contacted Volumio support and they are saying that they would like to integrate asap with you but they do not have SDK access. You are saying that you would like to integrate with them but it is up to them. Please can someone start this topic with Volumio guys. We need Deezer on Volumio so much. You are best streaming service but you are heavily loosing market because of lack of integration. I and thousands like myself use more expensive and not so good Tidal

on Naim and Volumio just because you are not supported. Please pass this info to management.

And that's another precious user added to the list @Tobis72 :relaxed: thank you for your feedback!

Hi, I would switch to deezer too if it is possible to use deezer on volumio.  At the moment I use spotify family ;-)

Hey @Narmo

That's lovely to hear you're considering joining us :thumbsup_tone2:

We don't currently have plans on Volumio but that can change very quickly. Subscribe to this topic so that I can update you once we've got a take from our developers about this :relaxed:

Hello,

currently I am at Spotify and like others I use volumio to listen to music.  If deezer allows to use volumio in a simple way like Spotify allows, I will take a family subscription because I am interested in the HD quality that Spotify does not offer.  Do you know if this will be possible soon?

Thank you in advance for your reply

Thanks a lot for sharing this with us @loony

Number 1, it's great to have a workaround that enables other users to experience the same.

Number 2, this is the kind of feedback we need this year. We're focusing hard on connectivity because we know it's an area we need to improve a lot and fast. I'm unable to give you a lot of detail but we're developing a feature that will help with this - not just with Volumio. So hang in there, we'll need your feedback in a couple of months :relaxed:

Hi Newbie first post here,

Volmumio integration work around?

Ive recently started using Deezer over Spotify as I wanted to stream higher quality music to my powered speakers. I purchased Audiophonics Raspdac  mini and started using Volumio.

I have realised that it is possible to stream via Volumio with Deezer. I use the Deezer app on my iPhone as a remote control (selection of music)and use the Volumio UI on my iPad to connect to the Raspdac mini.

Not all the meta data ( album art work) is shown but it doesn’t matter as everything is shown on the iPhone.

I guess the same would apply if using laptop etc and obviously both devices need to be on the same network.

Hope this helps and apologies if this is already apparent.

It’s saved me from tying into a Tidal subscription as I much prefer Deezer.

Hey @DJRuebe thanks for sharing your experience with us! Hahaha, I totally get your point!

Have you considered creating an idea for it in our ideas section (request a feature)?

Hey, I love Deezer a lot, but I also like Volumio. Why not put the two together? I would love to enjoy deezer everywhere in my apartment, but since I already have a girlfriend, I can't flirt with the others like Alexa, Siri and so on :)

Please implement volumio, there are many others who would like it just like me ;)

Hey @jaapveen

At the moment no, but I encourage you to ask their support team about an integration, while I'll be doing the same on our side :relaxed:

Also, please vote for this idea here :thumbsup_tone2:
