Question

How do I play only a specific album or playlist on Deezer? Deactivate track mix suggestions/recommendations

When I play the album, the playback doesn't stop at the end, but other songs by the artist or similar style continue, and that's confusing. Is there any way to set only a specific album or playlist as in the competition?

Hey @Placido09

Is this happening on desktop or web? If yes, please open your queue list and go to the bottom of it - you can then toggle automated recommendations off :thumbsup_tone2:

If it's on mobile, you can play just an album if you don't play it straight from search. But from your favourites or part of your existing queue (if you add to it).

I play via mobile via chromecast to streamer. Even when I play an album from favorites, it doesnt  stop at the end but starts playing more songs.

Maybe I have these options wrong? Can you explain the individual switching functions? I didn't find instructions anywhere, thank you.

Hey @Placido09

The first one is repeat, for you to repeat the current track once, or if you tap twice, to repeat the whole list when it gets to the end.

The second one is shuffle, more info here :thumbsup_tone2:

Thanks. Anyway, it didn't solve my problem. Even if I play an album from my favorites, at the end the playback doesn't stop but continues on. I think there should be a function in the settings in the sense of-Continue playing after the album. Turn on, turn off.

Thanks for coming back @Placido09 does it continue to what? More of your favourites or completely random music?

It continues with other songs by the artist, no favorites, or if it is a mix then some various artist.

yeah, it is SUUUUPER annoying!

Happens when streaming to Chromecast from either web app OR mobile, even with the setting toggled off.

That's probably because you've played a track mix @samael @Placido09 it's like a radio mode, requested by many users - so it isn't a bug, but intended behaviour.

I'll pass the feedback to our devs about making this into an option you can switch on/off :thumbsup_tone2:

Hey @garyyoung3

I've deleted the message for you.

In any case, apologies for the experience you've had. The last we want is for our users to be angry with the experience.

Feel free to share your feedback with us, after you've enjoyed a bit more, yes :v_tone2:

Hi Rudi,

In playlist with several albums, it could be great to have the possibility to listen just one album at the time. Then, it stops automatically after all songs have been played.

Also, there is no way to filter a playlist… and just select one album or several tracks to be played and only the selection is played…

Regards, Didier.

Thanks for the feedback @DidierB22 really cool suggestion.

Yes, I guess being able to select more freely would definitely help the UX. I'll forward your reply right-away! :sunglasses:

Is there a shift in solving this feature?

It's on our radar @Placido09 but nothing with a timeline yet as we're focusing on fixing some pesky bugs throughout the platform at the moment. Don't worry, I know the team in charge and I've been monitoring this, so if something comes up, I'll let you know.
