Fitbit Ionic Playlist doesn't show all songs (yes my phone app does?)

Hi everyone, @Rudi would you ask the devs to look at this also...

I've added my Ed Sheeran playlist to my fitbit ionic but on my ionic some of the songs are greyed out? They're not on my Android phone or the Deezer Desktop app (see photos) but they are on my Fitbit (2nd track down).

Hi @Hanne VDC

For some reason your fixed "favourites" playlist only syncs the latest 40 tracks you've added to it - you're not doing anything wrong!

Oh right, I was already suspecting something like this, but couldn't find confirmation on it. All I found was the max. of 300 songs. Thanks for letting me know! Makes a lot of sense also on the total playlist length decreasing :)

I tried creating different playlists now, with over 40 songs and there's no issue there. All smooth!

Thanks for replying!

Hi @Hanne VDC

For some reason your fixed "favourites" playlist only syncs the latest 40 tracks you've added to it - you're not doing anything wrong!

I suggest you make a new playlist (maybe call it fitbit favs) and copy all your favourites into this and then remove your normal favourites from your fitbit sync list and add your new fitbit favs to sync. This should give you all of your tracks.

Let us know how you get on!
Hi all, anything known for Fitbit Versa SE on this matter (and not Ed Sheeran exclusive 😉 )?

I am new to Deezer, I have a premium account.
About a month ago I was able to sync my then small favorite song list to my Fitbit Device, following the steps in the manual. It then had 40 songs.
In the meantime ofcourse my fav list grew and I want to sync them to my Fitbit device. This is a struggle.
I managed to do another sync but the Deezer app on Fitbit keeps showing a 40 songs count; however, my previously synced songs dissapeared and the more recently added favorite songs now entered the list upto 40 songs. While my favs list keeps growing (and are downloaded on the Deezer app on my phone), Deezer on Fitbit keeps hanging on 40 songs. The playlist lenght (total time of all songs combined) keeps decreasing for some reason. Very weird.

Steps I took so far to try to solve:
I did a Fitbit reboot, unlinked Deezer on my Fitbit, uninstalled and re-installed Deezer on both Fitbit and Phone, rebooted phone, anything you can think of basically.

Any more ideas? Or is this a known issue being tackled already? I'll submit a ticket as well, just to make sure.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Hi everyone! Yes, we do have an issue! Sorry for taking so long to agree! :)
Our developers are now in touch with Fitbit and hopefully it will be fixed soon! They will keep me updated and will let you know as soon as I have any more news!

Just to update everyone where I'm up to on this (no further on):-

Fitbit support contacted me and asked me to do a complete wipe/factory reset of my Ionic - I did this (it's a pain as takes ages to get all your preferences / clock faces /setting etc. back to how you like things).

After doing this nothing happened - it's still only transferring some of the playlists and songs are greyed out.

Deezer support contacted me (support ticket #4796587) telling me "Some rights holders choose to not make music available to streaming services or dispute over material currently available. Songs in dispute are greyed out in the Deezer catalogue."

I've replied saying I think this is rubbish as the songs aren't greyed out on my phone or desktop so surely if it's rights issue they would be greyed on on there as well as my watch?

C'mon Deezer / Fitbit - between the two of you this needs looking at as it was working well until recently.
I have tried all the "solutions" and troubleshooting listed above and no luck. I've been emailing Fitbit support and I've been on the Fitbit forums. Because the problem is on BOTH Android and iPhone and it happens with multiple music-playing Fitbit devices, it's got to be something about the way the Fitbit app and Deezer communicate with each other. Fitbit won't answer me when I ask them if it's just a coincidence that my problem happened at the same time there was a Fitbit app update (July 23rd). They insist it's a Deezer problem.
Following this thread because I have the same issue. I will have to look at other music options if Deezer can’t get this back. The songs on my new playlist were all there a week ago. Now 90 percent of them are greyed out.
Hi @Rafael. & @Rudi

I've reconnected by doing this:-

unlinked my deezer account from my fitbit
uninstalled the deezer app from my fitbit
restarted my fitbit (and my phone just in case)
re-installed the deezer app on my fitbit
linked it to my deezer account
downloaded my playlists.......

and the same problem - some of the tracks are greyed out! :(
I have it on another album as well these are the two albums (which I've put into playlists):-

Rise - Sonny Fodera
no.6 collaboration project - Ed Sheeran

If I had to guess is it a rights/licensing thing (maybe the Fitbit app thinks I'm in a different country? I've checked and it's not but doesn't mean there's a bug) - who knows but please pass to your Devs for this product (and if they need me to do anything/try anything no problem let me know).I've tried creating new playlists (from albums e.g. Late Night Feelings - Mark Ronson) and again it's not sync'ing over the full playlist only certain tracks (the rest are greyed out). 😞 Basically I can't have a full playlist to listen to :(That's me on the Fitbit community forums with the same problem. Once I wiped all my playlists off my Versa, I couldn't get music back on it again. The app doesn't ever get past "preparing music to download." (Android, latest update) I have tried everything. Basically wiping everything and every kind of connection and starting again, and no luck. And same thing -- I want to be able to have music on my watch so I don't have to stay in range of my phone. My 3 months of free Deezer will be over soon and there's not really a reason to renew without this feature working.I've tried creating new playlists (from albums e.g. Late Night Feelings - Mark Ronson) and again it's not sync'ing over the full playlist only certain tracks (the rest are greyed out). 😞 Basically I can't have a full playlist to listen to :(

I too have the exact same problem, done every possible thing with restarting Fitbit, removing Deezer and putting back on and done every possible fix with Fitbit support over three call ins to Fitbit, but my problem has yet to be resolved with this on myVersa.

I've noticed others on the Fitbit community having the same problem said it's only started recently?

I hope this gets fixed it's the only reason I bought a Fitbit over other brand (so I could have Deezer without my phone on my run).

Hi @Rafael. & @Rudi

just to update you on this - it's actually become worse.

I had a playlist called Jade Bird (basically her album I turned to a playlist) on my fitbit for a month or so (which I added when it first came out). About 2 weeks ago I removed it, adding other playlists.. some working, some not (as mentioned above).

Yesterday I tried to re-add the Jade Bird playlist and it's only adding some of the tracks (not all of it like it was before). I removed it, deleted the playlist in Deezer, then remade the playlist in Deezer and still the same some tracks missing.

I then did a complete wipe (as per all my steps above 😞 ) just in case - added the Jade Bird playlist and no.. still the same some tracks missing.

Something is 100% not working (has changed) with the app/link to Deezer.

@Jakethach how have you been getting on?

so for the record as well as the two playlists (which are created from the albums) above, these two also don't work:-

Jade Bird
8-track (Hot Since 82)

Please could you ask somebody in the office who's got a Fitbit to create a playlist from one of these albums and try and put it on their Fitbit (@Jakethach would you also if you can?).

cheers
Rob

P.s. I noticed before and after my reset/reinstall that it's sticking at a percentage (different percentage depending how many lists) it gets to here and then completes see below

Apparently it needs to be reconnected. Please just repeat the steps shown here.
I have the exact same problem and it's the same song from ed Sheeran that's grey out (south of the border) weird hope someone can fix this fast.
