Desktop bug in Windows

When my screensaver comes on, or it comes out of sleep, my mouse no longer works. I have to press alt+ctrl+del to get the task manager up, then everything’s fine. I won’t be using the app until that’s fixed.

None other than Deezer. I use VLC for playing the music I own and have never had a problem with it playing after the screensaver goes on, after the monitor goes off, and even if I put the computer to sleep during the night and use my remote control to wake it up to listen to some more, I’ve never had a problem with it. I’ve stopped Deezer desktop and the problem has gone away.

For now, I’m using Deezer online in a browser dedicated to that task. But there are lots of problems with the desktop app..

Alright. I can see Deezer isn’t ready to use the way I’m used to using my music on VLC, with a remote and all that ease. But I’ll just think of it as a library I can use in its limited way and see if I use it enough this month to justiry continuing membership until some of the feature I would ultimately like to be added and other things fixed…

My own collection is very large but, no matter how large one’s own library, it’s always nice to have a window open.

PS. There is a difference I noticed online v. desktop app. When I hover over the artists’ names online, the cut-off parts show in a box. This does not happen in the desktop app, even if the window is maximized.

I’ve been for a year on Deezer and they do update and fix bugs. It’s not as fast as we want, but it’s all about that patience. Are you willing to wait weeks or months for one feature to be implemented?

Are you willing to wait even years? These questions I ask for myself quite often.

Those who do, probably get it at some point in their life.

I am still hopeful Deezer gets better and I am die hard fan of hard dance music. What still bothers me on Deezer regards the site, is the messy library. Too much of a tabs with little to no need for me.

For example I do not care about followers, MP3, following, mixes sections.

Also like you said my friend, the tremendous amount of library is hard to handle on Deezer. There is no folders to separate for example genres in albums or playlists. The work is needed a lot.

It’s a mess for sure. But some things are very good. The complete Sarah Vaughn on Mercury, for example. 4 volumes, 5 discs each. I can’t afford that. I also love Baroque music and they are expensive discs too. But the sound quality in high-fi is up to the standard I use (uncompressed .flac because vlc stopped retrieving metadata for my .wav files). The mp3 version is for the dogs. Like YouTube, Amazon, and Spotify. All that sounds like cotton batting in the ears to me. If I were on the mp3 Deezer, I’d quit and put aside money to slowly beef up my collectin but the hi-fi has me hooked, I guess.

I solved the problem by going into my administrator’s account and deleting all pointing and keyboard devices and drivers, then restarting the computer with just one unified keyboard/mous combo plugged in. There have been no issues since. I’m sorry for the time I took up but, if someone else has the problem, maybe they’ll see this and it won’t be a total waste. Is there a button to mark a proble solved?
