Deezer Xbox App crashing

I start to play my music but after about a minute of me switching to a game, it crashes. It is up to date and I've tried reinstalling.

Yes me too always crashes when playing games on my xbox

Thanks for reporting this @Mohammed sachit @seoklvr, we were under the impression this was working fine.

Could you please give us some more details about your Xbox system and app version so that I can pass them on in the shape of a report?

Is this happening when you switch games? I'd be grateful if you could explain the steps to reproduce it :thumbsup_tone2:

I've have exactly the same problem form the moment the app was launched on Xbox... you set yourself up switch to your game and everytime it crashes a few moments after no matter what game your playing very infuriating a fix would be awesome it only works if you stay on the app which I don't think it was intended for.

The version I have installed on my xbox one s is 4.1.0.70 if that helps..

This problem has not been resolved yet.

The app will only let you listen to the Flow while playing games if you try playing your own playlist or someone else's it freezes and shuts down after a few moments it won't even play a full song unless your playing the Flow

Please help!! I'm on version 4.2.29.70

Been using the Deezer App on the Xbox Series S since yesterday and this keeps happening. Open the app, start music, switch back to a game an within 10 seconds the Deezer App just closes. Happens 9 out of 10 times. It's very annoying.

App version is 4.2.39.70

I believe this is the first report for the Series S - we needed to know how it performs. Have you tried any troubleshooting like, for example, reinstalling the app after restarting the console?

@Rudi had an update at the weekend on the same version as DJ2052 and it seems to be working now 🥳👍🏼

Not fixed for me.

 

Having this on Series X. As soon as you leave the app, even if just on the xbox home screen it stops playing after a few seconds. You also (as far as I can tell) cant use the Deezer app on your phone to select your music or skip tracks when playing through xbox. 

 

Spotify lets you use your phone with xbox and plays flawlessly if that means anything as my friend has this set up.

Can listen to whatever lists or fav albums etc on xbox series s/x while playing games, soon as you try to listen to your own favorite tracks it bombs within seconds (this an issue since last year even on xbox one, just not as bad as now)

 

Don’t care about any other extra features, just make my own fav list work asap or its the door, pretty sure one of the competitors works just fine on the MS gaming consoles

moving on from deezer, 6+ year client, sad day I have multiple requests to get hearted music back but nothing, not even a wink from deezer specially on music older than time looking at some songs from nirvana and the eons gone white zombie just nothing.

 

Your app on console sucks, something that should be easy to fix and nothing zero. Started using spottily and all the not available music is there and what you know app just works doesn’t matter on which device/platform etc.

 

Once you guys sort out your issues, let me know, pretty much will recommit. Would keep support here but the straw that broke the camels back, unstable app, music getting removed and support on getting those back is zero.

The application on xbox must be cursed, cause it crashes very frequently, stabilty is very low, and ui in general needs way more work. Hasnt it been out before spotify on xbox? Also find it very unsatiesfying that the songs skipps fast toward next song, only way to reset this is by reinstalling the application. And believe me its more then 10 fingers, im sick and tired of an app that is more like a pre alpha, (sorry for saying this but the frustration is beyond unstatiesfying, im used to spotify and the look and feeling and scrolling is amazing except one major fault, audio is mp3 quality as premium😔.) garbage is supposed be finished and well made isn't it?

The audio quality in other hand is spot on perfect, for my hifi audio💪🙏.

 

Also the discography, song, album etc is saying that i have no internet which is totally bullshit. Some, might not be all but many artists have uncomplete lists, i sometimes see the thumbnail, when checking its not there, its like its gone. Seriously, you expect us to pay for an unfinished project? Cause it sure feels like it. I pay for hifi sub

Hi Rudi, yesterday I installed Deezer on my xbox one, regular version. So here are a few things that still need improvement imo.
 

  • The app crashes once after starting it
  • It’s not possible to listen to only one artist’s songs. Either listening to one album and stopping the game to select the next. Especially fun with single song albums. The Mix button doesn’t work like on the desktop app so I end up getting a mix of multiple artists, instead of only this one artist. The multiple artist mix option isn’t bad at all but an additional dedicated button for shuffling this artist’s songs would be great. 
  • The synchronized waiting list doesn’t work either. So 4 button presses are needed and cant skip a song with the desktop PC keyboard. At least the Y button skip saves 2 further presses.
  • I had to select the HiFi option manually once after using it the first time, but I don’t care about that point very much. Do it once and it’s done

Since today I can fully confirm that the app also crashes frequently, about every half hour. Also it skips tracks after a few seconds of playtime every once in a while.
The best thing just happened. I wanted to start the app but it needed an update, no problem there. After it was done updating, I started the app and went into some kind off boot cycle where the logo would show up followed by a split second of black screen, about five to six times. After the app crashed, it uninstalled itself from the system. Maybe something doesn’t match in the update code or something. Just reinstalled it and for now there are no crashes and skips

Then I got to the end and I saw your edit, it turned into a horror movie!

Hang in there a bit longer, our developers are still working on the update.

In the meantime, is your Xbox fully updated too? It shouldn't crash that frequently...
