Deezer Windows app suddenly reversed

Userlevel 1

I opened the app and everything had suddenly swapped sides as if I am using a language that writes the opposite way (like arabic for example). How do I reverse it back to (for what is for me) normal,  back to left to right? Using Windows 10 desktop app.

Also when I minimise the app sometimes when I scroll over the minimisation in the taskbar I can see the forward and reverse and pause buttons for the moving to the next track or pausing it from there instead of having to enlarge the app. Other times these action icons are not there in minimise even though I am playing music at the times I am looking. What am I doing wrong making these features not appear there please? Thank you🐇

I searched on Google and here for a fix but found nought so I'm asking herein. Thank you 🦔

Hi Kevin. The app seemed to have reset to normal after I woke my Alienware desktop up from sleep mode. The action buttons are again appearing on scroll over in the taskbar as well 🤗

I will follow your advice if this happens again.

Much happier with Deezer than with the Spotify. It's a bit cheaper per month, it is french (I listen to a lot of french music) and the layout is better (like album cover enlarge and comments under albums) and Deezer doesn't sound like it is playing inside a crappy tin drum as the Spotify does at times. I would like the option to listen to my music at 432 hz though. Thats all.

Merci bien, Deezer 🤗💙

Hello @Théodisc, that’s very weird indeed. Make sure your language setting on the website is the correct one, then uninstall the desktop app, restart your computer (to delete any cache) and finally donwload and install the app again.

Let us know how it goes

Hi there,

I just had the same issue with the macOS app for the second time. I fixed it each time by closing and restarting the app. But I can confirm there is something weird going on here ;)

Thanks!

Thanks for reporting it @marc.belletre  definitely happens once in a while. Have you got version 4.20.21? If not, uninstall yours, restart your Mac, and install the new one. It should help this get fixed :thumbsup_tone2:

I also get no play/pause/forward/back features sometimes when scrolling over the app icon in the taskbar. To get it to work again I have to manually close the app and reopen it again too.

Hey @Théodisc

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried reinstalling the app after restarting your device?

In what OS and app version is this happening? Give me some details, would be happy to help you further :v_tone2:

Hi Rudi,

I do have version 4.20.21 and it just happened again. It looks like it happens every time I log in. If I’m unauthenticated when I open the app and I log in from the browser I get the reversed window. It never happens when I’m already authenticated before opening the app. That would explain why it works again if you close then reopen the app ;)

Thanks for sharing this @marc.belletre - I agree, that makes sense.

I wonder if you uninstall the Deezer app through a third-party app so that there are no traces of it if it makes a difference. Restarting your computer, then reinstalling the app from scratch.

This doesn't happen to everyone, that's why I think it could be a glitch. Let me know your thoughts :v_tone2:

Hey all! I've installed Deezer right now and it looks like this. The question is: why? Lol. How can I change text direction?

Thanks!

Sorry @andyyokoi

It happened to me the other day. I'll feedback your comments, thank you. In the meantime, could you please restart the app?

Happened last night. Thought I was losing my mind. I’m new to Deezer and like it but this is a bit silly. Original post 5 months ago. Anyway, I look forward to growing with Deezer… I think.

Hey @juddcc

Thank you for sharing and for your patience. It is indeed a bit random, but I agree this is something we should tackle. Our desktop app is constantly updated, with bug fix after bug fix, feature after feature. Don't worry, we're improving a lot on this and your feedback is another contribution towards our main goal :thumbsup_tone2:
