Hey @Mikhail Zolotov

Thanks for letting us know. What version of the Android app do you have and roughly, how many skips did you do before the sound stopped?

I have Android 11, running on OnePlus 8 Pro. Actually skips are not permanent, sometimes it mutes after 4-3 skips, sometimes after 7, sometimes it mutes without any skipps. Moreover it mutes the whole system, even if i quit the Deezer app and try to load other app for example YTM, it doesn’t play as well. Only after unplugging the phone and plugging it back it works again. No such issue with other apps.

Thanks for replying here too @Mikhail Zolotov just out of curiosity, what's the car model? We've had some specific issues with certain models in the past.

The car model is Toyota Highlander 2020, I have also checked the issue with other cars and it is present only in my car, other cars with android auto play music swiftly. Hope you can make a fix for it.

I have the same issue with a Toyota Corolla TS 2020, really annoying.

Hey can you please make sure both Deezer app and Android auto are updated? What device do you use?

Both are at the last versions available to me:

Deezer 6.2.41.79

AA 7.0.614134-release

My device is a Samsung Galaxy S20FE 5G

Hey @irBart we have a new version of the app. Can you please update to 6.2.42.70 and let us know if the problem persists?
Thanks for your help and patience.

Hi @Jaime. , I still have the issue with that version of the app.

My reproduction scenario today was as follows:

  • Play a song from my recently played songs for a couple of seconds
  • Select another song from my recently played songs → BOOM, everything is muted until I unplug and replug my phone

I noticed it's only the media volume that is muted, as the message notification sound is still audible when the bug occurs.

Also a new scenario: touching the “don't recommend this track” frowney face can cause it as well

And now something new: if I do multiple skips in succession, android auto crashes entirely :(

Hello @irBart

We are sorry to hear that.

Have you tried to perform these troubleshooting steps on your Android?:

If you are using the battery saving mode on your device, turn it off while you are carrying out this test.

  • Go to your device settings ➡ Apps & Notifications ➡ Deezer ➡ Storage & Cache ➡ Clear Cache
  • Open the Deezer app ➡ Gearwheel in the top right corner ➡ Log out at the bottom of the page
  • Turn off then on your device
  • Log in to Deezer
  • Stream a few songs and navigate in the app

If you have an SD card on your Android device:

  1. Open the Deezer app ➡ Gearwheel in the top right corner ➡ Data & Storage ➡ Disk Usage ➡ click on the path link and change it to internal storage

Thanks :)

I've tried all of that and even did a factory reset, but the mute issue still persists (only when using Android Auto). The crash seems to be gone though.
