Deezer HiFi on Marantz AV Receiver

I just purchased a Marantz SR 7013 a couple of weeks ago because I like the idea of listening to my Deezer HiFi in HiFi using the Heos app.  I realize it’s only been two weeks, but I am not understanding Heos.  I can play Deezer directly to the Marantz over Bluetooth, why the need for Heos?  Anyway, my question is - when I play music to my new receiver, it shows on the screen as being a 320 kbit/s MP3.  Is that correct?  I thought I was listening to FLAC tunes all this times… can anyone    help me understand?

That depends

If you're phone or DAP Player has LDAC for Bluetooth you can stream up to 900 kbps!

If you're using a Samsung phone you can make some interesting set ups in the"  Developers Options"

Streaming trough Bluetooth with LDAC and, 96kHz.

Your receiver has the ability to receive this hi-res format.

How to open Developers Options in your phone:

Settings

About Device

Then tap 7 times in Build number to become a developer.

Thanks for the info. I have an iPhone, and i doubt Apple has that option.  But you’ve given me something to research.  Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Thank you on behalf of Deezer too @JakobG really nice to share!

I'm thinking of setting up 'expert groups' here in the community during 2021 so that perhaps our developers can solve bugs quicker with the help of savvy users like you. Let's stay in touch and for now, enjoy a great end of the year!

David.

Apple has ALAC ( Apple Lossless Audio Codec)  which is far better then AAC,
