Deezer HiFi on High End AV Receivers

Hello,

how i can use Deezer HiFi to connect to High End AV recover (and good stereo speakers) as number of devices which can play Deezer HiFi is very limited?

I was hoping for XBOX app for Deezer HiFi but meh.no such thing.

Other idea would be to play over Samsung TV connected to AV over FO but it looks bit silly i have to turn on TV every time i want to listen good music any hint?

We would really need solution for this as HiFi quality should be listen on HiFi equipment.

Thanks, bbg

As far as I know, the new Xbox app by Deezer supports FLAC streaming. Concerning smart TVs and wireless speakers: have you checked the related support pages already? The devices with the yellow HiFi sticker should support it:

https://www.deezer.com/en/devices/tv
https://www.deezer.com/en/devices/soundsystems

I think some Samsung soundbars already support Deezer HiFi, but not all smart TVs. Theoretically Chromecast also supports HiFi, but practically there are lots of reports that it doesn't work properly.

By the way, for me and my setup HiFi mode over the desktop app on a Windows 10 PC connected directly via cable to my stereo gear is ideal. 😉

Hi there @bolebg

Perhaps our friends @bluezzbastardzz @walker can give you some tips 👍🏼
Thanks @Rudi, it would be really great to get some hints how to enjoy Deezer HiFi in best way.

HiFi Flac over Windows 10 or Samsung TV is not really optimal.

Why not? I'm using the Tidal and Deezer desktop apps over my DAC drivers -> USB DAC.
I agree the web players are probably not very good but why wouldn't dedicated DAC drivers from the company who made the devices be optimal with the desktop player? Surely it's better than any other option..

Hmm, Thanks for hint...Desktop PC is too far away so can not deploy cables to HiFi Stereo room, do not want to turn on PC when would like to listen music and relax, would prefer not to use Laptop to connect to HiFi stereo even if fixed in HiFi rack

I mean it is all legit and good ways but just would avoid it (it is just me).

If new XBOX application can now support Deezer HiFi it would be good enough for the moment - I will check i it but someone confirm it as it is not on the list of supported devices for Deezer HiFi?

But i will still wait for some network player with good integrated DAC and embedded Deezer HiFi application 🙂 That would be my preferred choice !

I see. I would recommend something like the node 2i from Bluesound then. It has support for Deezer, Tidal, and most other music services. I have one and use it with Deezer hifi and Tidal hifi for one of my systems. It has MQA support. You can control it from Android, iPhone, Windows, or Mac. And the BluOS app works fine in Linux under Wine. Anyway, you can avoid using a PC with a streamer like Bluesound. I'm sure there are other good ones also.

Maybe I spoke too soon about the Deezer desktop app anyway. I think maybe it is bypassing my DAC drivers and I'm not getting the best quality sound. I'm looking into it now.

Did you read the pages I linked to? The new Xbox One is listed as HiFi compatible on the TV page at the bottom, and the soundsystems page lists several network players like the Bluesound devices.
Hi,

sorry for adding a different but relevant issue to the discution.

I'm planning to have a Marantz Melody X 612 with a Deezer HiFi account.
will it stream Flac files or not. how can I check that?

then I plan to eliminate most of the times the smart phone to control it and use preferebly Google Home Assistant.

on the go, can I use the same subsciption on the phone to listening to non flac / non HiFi streaming?

Responding to myself since I can't edit my post...

Maybe I was too hasty. It appears Deezer Windows desktop app doesn't use the DAC driver for USB DACs connected to Windows.

This can't be real...can anybody confirm or deny? If the app can't exploit a USB DAC there is no sense to the hifi account.
