Deezer buffering on Bose Soundtouch


I am a deezer premium subscriber. Until few days ago I never experience any problems with playing deezer music on my Bose Soundtouch system. Now, when I play music system is buffering every few minutes. Music stops for 3-5 seconds and play again. I have two speakers and both act the same way.
Done several checks. Reboot my router, speaker itself, run Internet speed test (35mbs),reinstall deezer app on my phone and nothing works.
Deezer app plays fine on my phone.
Played Spotify and Amazon music on my Soundtouch and they all playing just fine.
Where is the problem and how can I fix it?

Sorry you've been experiencing that. We haven't had any other reports, so let's dig a bit deeper to find out if there's a bug.
Have you checked for firmware updates? It could be that something affected our connection.
Also, does that happen with every track?
Hi. I updated system to the newest software I believe. Yes it's happening with every track on both speakers independently.

Ok, so before we move things further, could you try the following troubleshooting?

  • Log out from Deezer on all your current devices (mobile, desktop, browser, etc)
  • Request a new password here
  • Create a new password and keep it safe
  • Turn your Bose off for a minute to allow it to re-cycle
  • Turn your Bose back on, enter your new Deezer details and you should have full access
Hi. I tried all above. I re-installed both deezer and bose apps, changed password and no different. What else can I do?

What's your soundtouch model?
HI I have the same problem, I have Bose soundtouch lifestyle and I have done all the same updates and resets but when playing a playlist it does the same as Aleks it buffers for 4-5 seconds then starts playing again this happens on every track

HI @redkaiser sorry about that. Are you using the Bose app? Have you reset your Wifi?

I have the same problem with buffering using a Bose Soundtouch. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the Deezer app. I’ve turned the router on and off and I’ve had my internet speed increased. This seems to have eased the problem from buffering on every song to about one in ten but not solved it completely.
Cancel my last post. It’s gone back to every song again. Anyone know if Spotify has the same problem. If not I’m on my way !!!!

Hi. I played Spotify and Amazon Music on my Soundtouch 20 and 10 and have no problem what so ever. All absolutely fine. Just deezer is still buffering no matter what I tried.
I contacted Bose and send report few weeks ago but didn't hear anything back so far.
Hi. I have the same problem with Bose Soundtouch 30, I might get 3 songs played then the buffering starts. The radio is working no problems, just Deezer that buffers on soundtouch only!! Deezer in the car all works and on other devices all working. I have reported to Bose support and down loaded service files, uninstalled Bose and deezer and reinstall makes no difference, it started after the Bose latest firmware upgrade about a month ago. Bose had me testing Wifi and checking setting through the web browser to the Bose unit. after several emails and days later it was escillated to a higher level at Bose. Since this I have not heard anything. I sent 2 email last week and suggested rolling the firmware back to an earlier level that worked and have had no further response. It seems as though it is a Bose problem however spotify seems to work as reported in this thread, so we need Bose support and the Deezer techs to work together and update ASAP

Update, Bose have been in touch and I'm working via Ethernet only. They said they can't roll the firmware back. I have sent router model numbers and more descriptions on my home set up. What worries me is once the Ethernet was working they seemed to be okay with that?? We need more soundtouch users to report to Bose direct. My feeling is that its going to be a long wait unless more report. Some people have also reported Ethernet issues? You need to uninstall the wifi speaker then set up ethernet.
