Chromecast volume goes to zero when I exit the app

So.. all of a sudden I have this issue where I can only listen to music on my chromecast while the app on my phone is open in the foreground. The moment I go to homescreen or switch apps the volume goes to zero. All other apps are working just fine with my chromecast. I should also mention this is happening with the ios version of the app.

So, since @Menm @HansDeezer @Amin.Bajrektarevic and others reported this volume problem, has anything been done to fix the issue??

The bug is persistent across Chromecast clients and it is so annoying that I will definitely end my Deezer HiFi subscription if it endures. Should I seek a more public social platform to vent my concerns and get your attention?

When I switch to another app on iPad the volume of music playing via Chromecast dips in volume -not to zero. If playing at level 12 on my receiver it dips to 7. 
 

Can this be fixed please?

Just a note that I have the same issue iOS and. Chrome cast audio. When I minimize the app the volume drops or changes. Love Deezer but this drives me nuts

Too many bugs with Chromecast, too long to resolve… So long, Deezer, 5 years later, i switch to Qobuz.

How long does it take to resolve a bug like this!? I’m paying for a family and a hifi account and both of them are useless at home for a month now!!

Hier hetzelfde probleem, telefoon SE 2020 IOS 140701. daarbij test gedaan met Android toestel geen pijn… Het lijkt er op dat het toestel volume mee over genomen wordt naar het device waar je de muziek op luistert, het werkt dus ook de andere kant op indien je volume op je telefoon (of iPad) hard staat.

Erg irritant en zie graag spoedig een oplossing tegemoet!

Workaround is to go in google home and increase the volume again after switching away from the deezer app

I have the same issue since a long time too. I’m using IOS, I had the bug on my IPhone 6s+ previously and same to the 12 now. Before, sometimes it was changing the volume to the maximum volume when I leave the app.. it’s definitely a critical issue for most of us. I didn’t tried on chrome cast but it is on Google Homes

Could you please perform these troubleshooting steps to see if they work?

  • Open the Deezer app ➡ Gearwheel in the top right corner ➡ Storage & Cache ➡ Clear All
  • On the same page, under Smart Cache, slide the button towards the middle of the line.
  • Stream a few songs and navigate in the app

⚠ Your Downloaded music on Deezer will be deleted, but you can easily download your favourite playlists and albums from your Favourites.

If the issue continues,

  • Delete the Deezer app
  • Restart your iOS device
  • Download and install the Deezer app from AppStore
  • Stream a few songs and navigate in the app

Same issue here. I was hoping todays iOS update or the Deezer Labs update would correct it. Neither did. Glad I’m only on the trial. I have messaged and asked if the trial can be extended as I love the rest of the service but my main use is casting to Google Devices and want to stick with it but it’s just unusable for casting at the moment. I’ve tried the cache clearing which also does nothing.
