After the last update of the Deezer app on iOS, there is impossible to connect with the Chromecast on TV. In the beginning it looks like everything works, because Deezer is connecting with the Chromecast and the logotype of Deezer app is showing on the TV screen, but when I just click a Play button, them the connection is shutting down. I have to note that every other apps like Netflix or You Tube work fine.

I was wondering if the problems with Chromecast audio are solved.

This is a problem which has been going on for a year. There was a thread with lots of complaints a and miracly the pages has been lost due an attack..... Still wondering if I have to believe it or not because they have also promised us to solve this.

All the threads of this issue state it has been solved.

I ended my subscription of this... As I still like Deezer and want to come back my question on this and curious what other members conclusions are.

Hi there.

I can confirm there are issues with Chromecast, particularly if you are a HiFi subscriber. Have a search, you'll find plenty of grumbles, even though the main thread has gone. Deezer say they are working on a fix, but are unable to commit to a timeline.
I'm facing a lot of "crackles/clicks" while I'm listening Deezer on my Chromecast audio. If I remember well, ir started in last December. Before I thought was Chromecast, but it is not, since I used Spotify on it and has worked fine. Please, you should take a look on that. It really makes me sad =/

I'm facing this issue using iPod and my Android device sharing to Chromecast audio.

We have to report this with some hifi magazine like whathifi or something? They deserve to get bad press. The only way to move this two year issue up.
At least one rootcause of audio stuttering is the flawed output via digital connection (TOSLINK) on Chromecast Audio.

Please investigate!

Deezer's used to all of them, he's got a lot of mistakes coming back. This time when playing through Chromecast plays only 30s of the song and jumps to the next one. Funny and tragic. I'm fighting for the return of "Hear this", and here's another argument to leave this platform..... I will return to Tidal - I am waiting, as promised, until the end of July. Unfortunately, today I started my vacation and instead of listening to my favorite music, I have to be frustrated by Deezer's miserable actions. Deezer = poverty
This problem persists after 2 years 😞.

I have a chromecast audio and I deal with most of the problems described above.

I found a solution, at least for me.

On Samsung devices (phone or tablet) there is an option/application called Smart View. Basically, in this case, this mirror audio from your phone / tablet to the chromcast audio.

Steps
  1. Turn on Smart View on phone
  2. Select chromcast audio as device
  3. play music on deezer on phone
After that when I "play" Deezer on phone all is working perfectly.
Deezer player -> Phone -> Smart view -> chromecast audio.

I think that this app (Samsung Smart View) is available on google play store. Maybe it can be installed on non-Samsung devices to achieve the same functionality.

I hope this will help someone.

@deezer devs chat with samsung devs and try to implement their solution in your app. Or look at their code, the source is open.

I have tried two different Chromecast Audio's, different optical cables and even a different receiver; all suffer with audio breaks and glitches.

If I cast with Deezer to a Chromecast v1 (hdmi), it's fine - no glitches.

If I AirPlay from my IOS device to my receiver, it's fine - no glitches.

If I cast from Spotify on Android or IOS > Chromecast Audio > TOSLINK, it's fine - no glitches.

Looks pretty conclusive that it's a Deezer issue to me.

Can't believe that this has been going on for so long, with Deezer seemingly doing nothing about it.

Deezer - can we have some feedback & traction to fix please?

@omer.gegic this has worked perfectly for me too (using smartthings on my galaxy s10+). The only time I get issues is if I were to cast directly out of deezer with chromecast/google home app.

I am now streaming/casting via optical on chromecast audio with no drop outs. Thank you very much.

I've been experiencing exactly this issue for a couple of years now - it's very specific so you'd think deezer would be able to nail it down!
Same issue for me too. Cant believe this is being reported for 2 years and not yet resolved. i am all for giving the smaller guys a chance and use deezer vs spotify but cant do it if the basics dont even work. If this is due to some issues on Google's Chromecast instead of frmo Deezer, this should be highlighted. Otherwise, I am moving to spotify as well.

Thought I’d trial Deezer but the buffering problems when using Chromecast result in constant stuttering at the start of each track. High speed Virgin internet with only one device in use so no excuse. Looks like I’ll be cancelling my subscription 😟
I’ll try again when Deezer can work properly with Chromecast.
