BMW online Deezer service not working correctly

I subscribed to the BMW Deezer online app during black Friday. It has been working absolutely fine up until just before Christmas.

 

Now it will no longer download songs that I want to listen to in a reasonable time.

It can take up to 5 minutes just to download 1 song, which means the song keeps pausing, or skipping to a track that has been previously downloaded.

It is frustrating having to listen to the same song over and over again, whilst I wait for the next one to download.

 

I see this has come up a few times previously.

Same thing happening to me as well on an i3 - songs will download slowly or a 'download failed' message appears. Contacted BMW about it via phone and emailed them a description of the issue with pics yesterday at their request - not heard back since. Can a mod here give us a clue if it's a known issue?

I think it’s a connection problem of your BMW, have you tried contacting their Support?

I’m having the same symptoms and it most definitely isn’t a connection problem for me - in App Support, it’s showing:

  • Mobile network connection: exellent
  • Data connection: LTE
  • BMW services: available

And all other apps (Weather, News, etc.) are working like a breeze.

I have contacted them and waiting for a reply

 

I don't think it's a connection issue, everything else works absolutely fine, it's just Deezer that is struggling to download songs.

Yesterday I'd travelled 10 minutes and 1 song had managed to download 96% in that time, so they download, just very slowly

 

I've asked for a refund of my Deezer sub if they can't resolve it, as its no good otherwise

Can you remove the "Answered" flare please? As this hasn't been answered satisfactory yet

For anyone else with this issue, this seems to have fixed it for me pretty quickly. This is the direct response from BMW.
